What Shoppers Say About Sally Hansen
Sally Hansen products receive overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers on RetailCoupons.com, with the store rated 1.5 out of 5 by 20 reviewers. Recurring complaints center on poor product quality and performance: nail polishes are described as thin, watery, and uneven in coverage; some products allegedly cause staining or damage to nails; and specialty items like growth treatments fail to deliver promised results. Shoppers also report durability issues, with products peeling or requiring frequent reapplication. Beyond product quality, customers have experienced billing problems and unresponsive customer service that fails to resolve issues adequately.
While a small portion of reviewers give the brand higher ratings, the vast majority express strong dissatisfaction and state they will not make future purchases. Shoppers consistently note that competing products at lower price points offer superior performance, leading them to question the value proposition of Sally Hansen's offerings. The combination of product failures, customer service gaps, and billing complications has created a pattern of buyer frustration across multiple reviews.

Sorted by: Most recentI used an entire bottle of their Miracle Cure and honestly saw no change in my brittle, flaking nails whatsoever, even though I followed all their instructions. This product is not effective for strengthening nails. Really let down by it.
Really disappointed. I paid over nine pounds and it started chipping within two days. I've gotten nail polish from discount stores for less that lasted way longer. Spent forty pounds on a whole kit and other products for a trip and I'm really upset. Would have been better off just getting a manicure.
Bought their Insta-Dri polish and right out of the gate it was thick and sticky. It wouldn't dry at all when I put it on my nails and just rubbed off on everything I touched. The company sent a replacement bottle which went on smoother, but even after letting it dry completely, it got ruined as soon as I started doing anything. Whatever formula they use just never dries properly and stays gooey when you touch it.
Their wax strips are not good at all. They didn't remove my eyebrow hair and I can't even get the sticky residue off my face. Would not suggest this product.
I picked up their no chip top coat and within just a day it started cracking all over my nails and chipping off, taking the colored polish with it. Thinking maybe the base polish was the problem, I tried applying it over bare nails with no color underneath. Same result happened again. For the price they charge, this is pretty disappointing. Their whole no chip claim is honestly misleading and I'm definitely not buying it again.
Sally Hansen really needs to look at their spray bottle design. I've bought the airbrush spray multiple times and every single bottle stops spraying after a short while. There's clearly something wrong with how these bottles are made. I kept repurchasing because I liked the product itself, but I'm done now since I'm throwing away almost a full bottle each time. It's wasteful and frustrating.
This dried super fast, like in under a minute. Really impressed with how quick it works.
Spent nine dollars on their gel polish which they advertise as strong and chip resistant. It chipped after just ten minutes. Plus the color looked kind of dull and washed out. I grabbed a Rimmel brand for four bucks and it's leagues ahead. Skip this and get something you actually know works.
I purchased a green and white shade from their Xtreme Wear line and both were extremely lumpy and difficult to apply. Once they dried the finish looked super uneven and blotchy. I've never had this problem with nail polish before. I used to buy from this line regularly but something about their formula has definitely changed over the years. They have some nice colors but I won't be buying anymore until they fix the application and consistency issues.
