What Shoppers Say About EVINE Live Inc
EVINE Live Inc (operating as ShopHQ) receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, rated 1.3 out of 5 by 16 reviewers. The most common complaints center on customer service accessibility, with shoppers reporting multi-hour wait times and unresponsive email support. Additional recurring issues include difficulty canceling orders, excessively high shipping charges applied per item rather than per order, defective products being shipped (including watches described as new old stock that show visible wear), slow refund processing that extends beyond two months, and aggressive sales tactics from representatives pushing credit cards and subscription programs rather than resolving order problems.
Very few positive experiences emerge from the available reviews. The rare higher ratings (appearing in 12 percent of reviews) do not include substantive comments explaining what shoppers found satisfactory. The overwhelming pattern suggests systemic problems with order fulfillment, quality control, return logistics, and customer service responsiveness that have led reviewers to explicitly recommend avoiding the store and switching to competing platforms.

Sorted by: Most recentI ordered two hair care items on the evening of January 11, 2025 and immediately changed my mind. I hit the cancel button right away and got a cancellation confirmation, but only one item actually canceled. When I called to fix it, nobody was available on Sunday. My bank said they couldn't help until the package arrived. Turns out one item was flagged as a subscription and they won't let you cancel those. According to federal law I have the right to cancel within three days, and I called within ten hours. The order still showed processing with a January 18th delivery date, but they claim they couldn't stop it even though both items are from the same company. This is shady business practice and I will never shop here again.
Watch out for used watches being sold as new. I bought a Bulova quartz that was listed as discontinued old stock. When it arrived, it wasn't working. I sent it to Bulova for service and they told me the watch had visible wear and scratches under the crystal. How is that possible for a new watch? ShopHQ is clearly selling used merchandise but will deny it.
Two months have passed and I still haven't gotten my refund for a returned item. The shipping costs here are ridiculous too, charging separately for each item even when everything ships together in one box. The vendors I liked moved to another platform, so I'm going with them.
My first and last experience with them. The rep on the call kept pushing me to sign up for monthly charges, some VIP program, and a credit card with a 26 percent interest rate instead of focusing on getting my wife's massage mattress order right. The mattress arrived defective and the return process was a nightmare. I waited 48 minutes for a customer service agent even though the system said 7 minutes. The agent claimed the item was scanned in Nevada by Pitney Bowes but they never got it, which made no sense. They wouldn't give me any real answers. No refund was credited to my card. I'm giving them one more week before I call my credit card company for a chargeback.
Getting through to customer service is awful - expect to wait two hours and forget about using email. It seems like anyone can sell their products on this network without proper vetting. You pay for shipping, then if something's defective, you pay again to return it. The worst part is contacting the vendor directly costs nearly as much as the product itself just to get them to check if there's actually a problem. This whole operation feels like a complete ripoff.
It's really difficult dealing with ShopHQ when you need to return something. They make it clear their goal is to avoid giving refunds. I got a beauty product that was spoiled and they wouldn't process a return, only offering a small credit toward future purchases. I've had problems with them multiple times. I'd rather shop at HSN or QVC where the customer service is much better and the product quality is superior.
ShopHQ offers terrible service. I ordered items that were never delivered, and I can't even get a refund on them.
Do not trust ShopHQ. I bought a watch on May 31st with an expected delivery date of June 9th, but it never showed up. After five calls to their customer service, nobody could tell me what happened to my order or where my watch was. Their internal communication is clearly nonexistent. My bank confirmed they took my money, but they failed to deliver the product. Go somewhere else. ShopHQ has marketing hype but zero reliability. UPDATE: On June 19th they canceled my order claiming they couldn't verify my payment even though I paid through PayPal on May 31st with a receipt. This company is shady and unreliable. Shop anywhere but here.
ShopHQ is the new name for Evine Live and I can't understand why there are so many negative reviews here. It's my favorite of the three major shopping channels, though I mostly shop online. Yes, shipping costs are high, but their VIP membership is worth it at about seventeen dollars a month. You get all shipping charges covered on both orders and returns, plus five percent cash back on merchandise, and access to deals at Amazon, Costco, Lands End and other retailers. I mainly buy clothes, jewelry, and home goods. I've had a couple issues but overall their customer service has been really helpful. You'll find good and bad products like anywhere else, but returns are simple and easy if you're within the timeframe. They have unique and specialty items I love. The fashion hosts are down to earth and real - especially love Erin!
