QVC gives you time to catch up on your balance, but ShopHQ sends it right away after a couple months. Stay away from them and watch out for the hard credit inquiries they run on your report.
Really, what do you expect from a business operating under an address called Shady Oak Road? The name pretty much says it all about this operation. It's self explanatory.
This company does not deserve a one star rating because they deserve less. They keep harassing me about Value Pays even though I returned everything. I had to delete my card information to get them to stop charging me unauthorized amounts. All items were sent back. Refund me and stop contacting me. Your customer service representatives clearly have no idea how to do their jobs.
They charged me twice for an item I already returned. On top of that, they set up an unauthorized recurring charge on my bank card for sixteen dollars a month for multiple months, which I never authorized. I didn't notice until about nine months later when I reported it to my bank. Because more than 60 days had gone by, they could only refund me sixty dollars of the one hundred thirty five I was wrongly charged. I'm treating this as criminal activity and filing a police report. It appears they deliberately spaced out the charges so they wouldn't be noticed. I had to cancel my debit card over this. I spent over an hour on hold trying to reach customer service with multiple calls but nobody ever answered. This isn't a typical return dispute - this is illegal charging of my account.
This is a complete scam. Be careful buying from this company online. They advertise a six month payment plan option but fail to tell customers that only people with excellent credit can use it. I found out the hard way when I tried to order Christmas gifts using their installment plan. Everything seemed fine until I got an email saying my order was canceled. Any other discount codes that pop up tend to disappear within hours - like the Impress20 code yesterday that was gone in less than an hour, causing me to abandon a two thousand five hundred dollar order. There's no point in bringing in new customers if you don't try to keep the ones you already have. A little loyalty recognition could make a big difference.
