SkinCeuticals Reviews
What Shoppers Say About SkinCeuticals
SkinCeuticals receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with shoppers reporting systemic issues across promotional practices, customer service, and order fulfillment. The most common complaints center on promotional codes that do not work as advertised, misleading marketing tactics, shipping errors that customer service refuses to correct, and undelivered promotional items like free samples. Shoppers describe feeling misled by advertised deals and frustrated by unresponsive or unhelpful support interactions. A small number of reviewers praise the actual skincare products themselves, noting visible results after consistent use, though these positive experiences with the products are overshadowed by dissatisfaction with the purchasing and service experience.
The primary pain points are operational rather than product-related. Multiple shoppers report that promotional offers fail to apply at checkout, that support staff lack knowledge about their own promotions, that shipping addresses cannot be modified once orders are placed, and that promised free samples never arrive. Some reviewers describe the overall experience as deceptive marketing, comparing the gap between advertised benefits and actual delivery to bait-and-switch tactics. The consistency of these complaints across multiple recent reviews suggests systemic problems with how the company manages promotions, customer service training, and order processing.

Sorted by: Most recentTheir product quality has gone downhill unfortunately and things aren't like they used to be. But that's not even my main complaint. There was a promotion running on the 16th advertising a free gift bag with products and an ice roller when you purchase something. Total misleading advertising because support told me you need to spend at least $200 to qualify. Yet when I was checking out after placing my order, I could clearly see the gift bag and the specific items I wanted from it. Customer service explained that after payment goes through, the gift gets removed automatically if you don't meet requirements. I asked how customers are supposed to know that when the gift is visible right there, and they said it's in the fine print somewhere. That's a really shady tactic to push people into buying more stuff. I find it hard to believe most people are searching for text written in tiny letters, especially when they can see their gift bag right in front of them. If I'm paying money and the bag shows up in my order summary, I'm not expecting anyone to just take it away after I've paid without getting a heads up first. Pretty let down by how this was handled.
I've been using SkinCeuticals for a while now and I'm pretty pleased overall. That said, there are definitely some things they could do better. The products work well, but they're really pricey. Also, the selection could be bigger so there are more options for different skin types. Even with those issues, I'd still suggest them to people looking for quality skincare.
Really disappointed with how this company operates. The actual skincare products are great, but their customer service is basically non-existent. If you really want their items, skip buying direct and go through Dermstore instead. You'll have a much better experience that way.
This company treats customers like we're just numbers on a spreadsheet. I dropped over $500 on three products and was excited about the free sample gift they advertise to get you to spend more. Everyone likes feeling valued with a little gift, right? But it didn't come with my order. After 3 emails and 3 phone calls, I still felt completely ignored. Their responses read like they were written by a robot. All three customer service reps I talked to started off sounding sympathetic, but every single one ended the same way. They said I wasn't eligible for the free sample because the eye cream and face cream were bundled in a promotion. I pointed out that the serum wasn't part of any deal, so why wouldn't I get my free sample for that? If I'd ordered it alone I would've gotten it. Every rep just shut me down, saying no dice. Over a $1 sample! The way they made me feel like I was demanding the world was ridiculous. That sent me down a research rabbit hole and I found out I'm not alone being unhappy with them.
Total nightmare dealing with this company and I'd say steer clear. They remove all the negative feedback from their own site, and I really wish I'd come here first before spending my money. Absolute disaster. Don't order from them and go with SYNERGIE SKIN instead. Much better science backing it up and customer service is miles ahead. Ordered vitamin C and they sent me a sample instead. Then they needed to see the parcel label from Australia Post, which they already had in their system somewhere. Took over a week for them to reply and I didn't hang onto the packaging. I filed a formal case with Australian Post and learned that only the seller can look up package weight details. They didn't send what I ordered and their support is a complete mess. Stay away. You won't get your order anyway. I'm reporting this to the ACCC and disputing the charge with my bank.
