What Shoppers Say About Slumberland Furniture
Slumberland Furniture has a very poor overall rating of 1.8 out of 5 based on 23 customer reviews. The overwhelming majority of negative feedback centers on serious warranty and protection plan issues, with customers reporting that coverage does not match promised benefits, warranty claims go unanswered, and service representatives fail to follow up. Additional complaints involve delivery misunderstandings, refusal to honor stated agreements, unresponsive customer service, and employees disputing customer accounts of prior conversations. A small segment of satisfied customers praise the store's clean environment, non-aggressive sales staff, and smooth delivery experiences.
The most significant pattern in reviews involves protection plans that customers describe as worthless and warranties that are allegedly not honored despite significant purchases. Multiple shoppers report repeated attempts to contact warranty companies and the store itself with no response, while others claim coverage explicitly excludes issues it was stated to cover. There are also documented concerns about communication breakdowns during the sales process, where verbal promises about delivery services and fees are not recorded in writing, leading to disputes when orders are fulfilled.

Sorted by: Most recentStay away from their warranty! Don't make the same mistake I did. I've contacted the warranty company twice about my sofa and both times they never showed up or called me back.
They refused to honor my warranty even though I spent a lot of money on all my furniture. Now I'm stuck sitting in a broken chair. I will never buy from them again and won't refer them to anyone. I got hung up on multiple times and nobody ever called me back. I'm really disappointed and frustrated. If I'd known what they were like, I would have gone somewhere else.
Make sure your salesperson writes down everything you discuss. My salesperson said they would remove my old bed and box spring during delivery and waive that fee, but he never wrote it down. When delivery came, they refused to take the old items. After I called the store, an employee accused me of lying and said the salesman would never have promised that. The manager wouldn't help either, claiming the salesman now works elsewhere and couldn't be reached. I'm a disabled veteran and can't move these items myself, so I had to turn down delivery and take time off work to arrange this later. They could have solved it for $120 but refused because it wasn't on the invoice. The delivery drivers told me this happens constantly. If management is reading this, you need to do better.
I would not recommend buying from this store, and definitely skip the protection plan because it's worthless. The stitching on my couch arm split open and stuffing started coming out. The protection plan I bought supposedly covers rips, stains, and structural issues but none of that is actually covered. They wouldn't even look at photos of the damage. If you want low quality furniture that will deteriorate quickly, this is your place. For anything durable and well made, shop elsewhere. I learned the hard way and hope sharing this prevents others from making the same mistake.
Because you don't support a certain brand that I believe in, I'm giving you a negative review. I won't be doing business with you since you don't support companies and brands I care about.
The store was clean and well organized. The sales staff wasn't pushy and the whole delivery process went smoothly.
I bought a murphy bed to accommodate visiting guests of various ages and sizes. I couldn't be more satisfied with it. The furniture has held up beautifully and everyone who's stayed with us has loved how comfortable the mattress is.
The quality of this fabric sectional is really disappointing. After just four years, the material has deteriorated significantly with visible pilling and the cushions have lost their shape. The frame isn't holding up well either. I paid $230 for the Protection plan and it won't cover any of these issues. Having to replace a $2000 couch every few years isn't realistic for most people.
I'm never shopping here again. The couch they delivered came with scuffs and the delivery people even noted it on the paperwork. A repair person came out but said it was pet damage and refused to fix it. Slumberland won't repair it and won't give me a refund. Be careful with this company.
