Slumberland Furniture Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Slumberland Furniture
Slumberland Furniture has a very poor overall rating of 1.8 out of 5 based on 23 customer reviews. The overwhelming majority of negative feedback centers on serious warranty and protection plan issues, with customers reporting that coverage does not match promised benefits, warranty claims go unanswered, and service representatives fail to follow up. Additional complaints involve delivery misunderstandings, refusal to honor stated agreements, unresponsive customer service, and employees disputing customer accounts of prior conversations. A small segment of satisfied customers praise the store's clean environment, non-aggressive sales staff, and smooth delivery experiences.
The most significant pattern in reviews involves protection plans that customers describe as worthless and warranties that are allegedly not honored despite significant purchases. Multiple shoppers report repeated attempts to contact warranty companies and the store itself with no response, while others claim coverage explicitly excludes issues it was stated to cover. There are also documented concerns about communication breakdowns during the sales process, where verbal promises about delivery services and fees are not recorded in writing, leading to disputes when orders are fulfilled.

Sorted by: Most recentWe bought a sofa and chair and accepted the delivery timeframe. The couch arrived in late December but without the legs. They said legs would come in a day or two, which never happened. After waiting past the holidays, I called and the sales rep showed no concern whatsoever. Now I'm waiting up to six weeks just to get the sofa legs. This kind of follow through from a salesman really frustrated me and I won't be going back or recommending them.
I purchased a recliner with a five year warranty. A month ago the reclining mechanism stopped working and I still haven't received the parts needed to fix it. Getting this repair scheduled involved so much red tape and bureaucracy. This is not a reliable place to shop and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
The physical store staff in the area was helpful and friendly, but their online customer service fell short. I ordered a bed in August and was never told about any delays or backorders even though the system must have known. My husband and I recently married and I found a solid wood bed frame on sale that fit our budget. Since I didn't have a big enough vehicle, I ordered online. After reaching out to customer service nearly two weeks later, they said it wouldn't be back in stock until early November. We've been sleeping on a smaller mattress this whole time. Customer service wouldn't offer any discount or partial refund as compensation for the long wait, saying there was nothing they could do. I work in customer service myself and this is not how you treat customers, even during supply chain issues.
Their repair service is awful. The furniture arrived broken and is basically garbage. When they finally showed up to repair it months later, they left all the broken pieces scattered in my living room and said it was my responsibility to dispose of them. When I said the pieces wouldn't fit in my trash, they told me I'd have to pay for trash removal myself. When I complained about this, they said it's official company policy. Their policy is literally to make customers pay to get rid of their broken furniture. This is terrible service and a waste of money.
The staff here including Michael and Ryan along with the delivery team were fantastic and deserve top marks. The service was excellent, the products are quality, and everyone was professional and thoughtful. We got great care with our purchase and we'll definitely return to this store.
After having terrible experiences with three other major furniture retailers, someone finally told us to check out Slumberland and it was a total game changer. We were searching everywhere for a dresser for our granddaughter and everything else was junk. Slumberland had exactly what we wanted. Ordering was seamless, it arrived assembled and beautifully packaged. It showed up faster than expected and the whole experience was excellent.
I'm canceling my order placed yesterday. These reviews show that their warranty coverage is unreliable and that's really concerning.
I'm canceling my order from yesterday. After reading through all these reviews, I'm shocked at how many people say their warranties aren't honored. That's a huge red flag.
I'm generally happy with the products here. My main complaint is that you can't buy anything and take it home the same day. Everything requires ordering.
Their website advertises free no contact doorstep delivery for customers in their delivery area. I entered my zip code and it confirmed I qualified. But when I went to complete my purchase, they wanted $100 for shipping. When I asked about it, they said free delivery only applies to their 'local delivery area,' which apparently is different from their 'delivery area.' That's misleading and felt like a bait and switch.
