What Shoppers Say About Sounds True
Sounds True is rated 1.1 out of 5 by 25 shoppers, with 92 percent of reviews giving one star. The overwhelming majority of complaints center on deceptive business practices, particularly automatic subscription renewals that customers report are difficult to cancel. Shoppers also describe persistent technical problems with content access and the media player, poor customer service responses, and a shift toward an expensive membership model that reviewers say offers lower quality material than the company's previous product offerings.
A smaller number of reviewers mention additional frustrations including inability to listen to purchases offline, higher prices compared to competitors, inadequate troubleshooting support shifted to customers, and unresolved refund requests. Very few positive reviews appear in the recent feedback, and those recommending the company are essentially absent from the current review data.

Sorted by: Most recentThe only way to listen to what you've purchased is through a completely broken app. I've been buying from these folks since the cassette era and built up a huge library of audio content. Now it's basically impossible to actually listen to anything. There used to be a download feature and now it's gone. This awful app is the only option. It might work fine if you have a brand new iPhone, but on my tablet it's basically useless. Half the time I tap the screen and nothing happens, and sometimes I have to wait 10 seconds for it to respond. It's wild that a company selling audio files has released such a terrible player. I used to buy meditation recordings whenever I had spare cash, but now it seems they've shifted their focus to pricey courses for wealthy customers and stopped caring about keeping older purchases accessible, especially for people who don't have the newest tech. This company used to feel different - like they actually cared and had values. Now they're just like every other big corporation where the people in charge don't really care.
The course from Michael Singer is really great. Unfortunately, getting the video stream to work was a challenge as it kept dropping out. I switched to the audio version instead.
I bought several audio courses, though honestly these shouldn't even be called courses. The newest one has really bad audio quality - sounds like something keeps hitting the microphone throughout and it's basically impossible to listen to. Total waste of my money. I'm really frustrated and disappointed.
Purchased an audiobook that didn't work properly. I emailed support and tried contacting other departments but nobody got back to me. Had to go through PayPal to fight for a refund. These people are straight-up fraudulent.
