Got a new Samsung along with the evo clear case as a free promotional item. Comparing it to the alternative brand on my older model, they appear to be basically the same thing. I don't really buy into brand marketing anyway, but I do feel Tech21 charges too much for cases. Some people are willing to pay it but not me. Should this clear case break at some point, it'll go straight in the recycling bin. I got another case similar to what I've had success with on my older device, and that one has handled plenty of bumps from my kids growing up. My teenage daughter even tossed her older phone once and the case did exactly what it was supposed to do. My new phone won't be getting that same treatment.

Grabbed a new Samsung with the evo clear case in the free bundle. When I compare it to the other brand I use on my older model, they look pretty much identical. Not that I get caught up in marketing hype anyway, but I do think Tech21 prices their cases too high. Some folks won't mind spending the money but it's not for me. If this clear case ends up breaking, it's headed straight to the bin. I ordered a similar case that's been working well on my older phone, and it's survived rough treatment from my kids over the years. Actually, my teenage daughter once dropped my older phone and the case protected it perfectly. She definitely won't be handling my new phone anytime soon though.
