What Shoppers Say About House of Marley
House of Marley is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 19 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. The dominant complaint across reviews is non-responsive or inaccessible customer service, with shoppers reporting unanswered emails, broken contact links, and inability to reach support staff. Additional concerns include products failing relatively quickly despite marketing claims about durability and sustainability, difficulty obtaining replacement parts for discontinued items, and poor build quality in some speakers and turntables. The company's environmental messaging is viewed skeptically by reviewers who experience product failures that contradict promises of longevity.
Very few positive experiences are reported. One shopper praised the quality, design, and price of products purchased and highlighted responsive customer service including a same-day replacement of a failed speaker. However, this isolated positive review is vastly outweighed by complaints about abandonment after purchase, lack of support infrastructure, and products that do not meet stated durability standards. For a brand built on Bob Marley's legacy, reviewers note the disconnect between the company's values and actual customer treatment.

Sorted by: Most recentIs this company even still in business? I've tried reaching their customer service department repeatedly and get zero response. At this point I'm genuinely unsure if they're still operating since there doesn't appear to be any customer support. For a company using Bob Marley's legacy they should be ashamed. Both their products and how they treat customers fall way short of what his name stands for. He'd be spinning in his grave knowing how people are treated. I can't recommend this company to anyone.
Ordered through their New Zealand retailer partner and after waiting almost a week they still haven't sent my item or answered any emails. All the contact links on their site are broken so I had to use the order confirmation email. I'm not confident I'll ever receive this. Tried going through my bank to get the money back. Eventually got refunded a week later but was told the item wasn't in stock.
Total waste. The needle snapped right away and they don't stock replacements. Their whole sustainability pitch rings pretty hollow.
Purchased a Get Together Bluetooth speaker several years back based on promises about durability, sound quality, and eco-friendly materials. It quit working recently so I reached out about repairs. Turns out the product's been discontinued and replacement parts aren't made anymore. Really disappointed, especially given all the environmental claims.
Outstanding products and service! I grabbed the Stir it up Turntable and a Get together 2 XL soundbox and was blown away by the quality and design considering the reasonable price. After about a year my soundbox stopped working so I reached out and they shipped me a brand new replacement at no cost within 12 hours. That's what I call real customer service. Definitely deserves five stars from me. I'm based in Germany.
Got a Chant speaker a couple years back. Initially looked decent with a nice carrying pouch for the charging cable. But the electrical design and build quality are surprisingly poor. There's a hatch on the bottom to access the battery but it uses uncommon soldered connections. The power switch is fragile since it's just a thin plastic rod connecting internal parts to the external button. If it breaks there's basically no way to open the speaker up and fix it. The switch itself is wired as normally closed, so if it fails the speaker turns on by itself. When the battery gets low it cycles on and off making this awful hammering noise, which of course happens in the middle of the night.
Terrible customer service all around. I've tried calling and emailing multiple times with no luck. Either I get a busy signal or a voicemail saying they'll call back, which they never do. If I'd known their customer service basically doesn't exist I never would've bought from them. Don't make the mistake I did.
If I could leave zero stars I would. Our order arrived damaged and getting anyone to help has been incredibly difficult. We bought a record player as a Christmas gift for my daughter and they've done absolutely nothing to fix the situation. Phone calls go unanswered and when you email with details they respond with one useless sentence. It's baffling that this company is still operating.
Got stuck with a pair of 200 dollar Rebel wireless earbuds. Tried contacting House of Marley through their website and their ads but got no response for three months. The right earbud dies after one song and the left lasts about 6 hours. So much for sustainability when defective products just end up in landfills. After years of buying their wired earbuds I switched to Skull Candy Dime 3s wireless for 30 bucks and they work great. Don't waste your money here.
