What Shoppers Say About House of Marley
House of Marley is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 19 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. The dominant complaint across reviews is non-responsive or inaccessible customer service, with shoppers reporting unanswered emails, broken contact links, and inability to reach support staff. Additional concerns include products failing relatively quickly despite marketing claims about durability and sustainability, difficulty obtaining replacement parts for discontinued items, and poor build quality in some speakers and turntables. The company's environmental messaging is viewed skeptically by reviewers who experience product failures that contradict promises of longevity.
Very few positive experiences are reported. One shopper praised the quality, design, and price of products purchased and highlighted responsive customer service including a same-day replacement of a failed speaker. However, this isolated positive review is vastly outweighed by complaints about abandonment after purchase, lack of support infrastructure, and products that do not meet stated durability standards. For a brand built on Bob Marley's legacy, reviewers note the disconnect between the company's values and actual customer treatment.

Sorted by: Most recentWant your headphones falling apart in five months? This is your company. I've had both earbuds and over-ear headphones completely fall to pieces so it wasn't just one fluke item. Even when stuff breaks within warranty they won't offer refunds.
Straight up scam. I ordered a set with two items but they only shipped one. They won't investigate the missing product or take any responsibility. Their customer service doesn't make any sense.
I paid for a Bluetooth speaker that cost about 120 dollars but it never arrived. Sent multiple emails trying to get answers and heard nothing back. Feels like they just took my money and ran.
Absolutely terrible customer service. The items I ordered went to the wrong location and when I asked for a refund or replacement they refused. Stay away from this website.
The products feel cheap and the sound quality doesn't justify the cost. Both my original and replacement turntable had Bluetooth problems. The replacement even came with an uneven drive belt that probably would've snapped soon anyway, which shows they're not checking their work. The Bluetooth speakers have mediocre sound at best. All their talk about being sustainable gets contradicted by needing multiple replacement transactions for faulty products. Classic modern business where everyone's unhappy except the people making money.
The customer service team needs fixing themselves. They still owe me a refund but keep blaming it on their accounting department. Pretty sure they're confused about how money actually flows in and out of a business.
The Stir It Up wireless turntable I got is basically unusable because the needle produces so much chatter, and I've seen lots of reviews online saying this is a common issue with their turntables. Trying to get a return from House of Marley Canada has been a nightmare. Their policy says they cover return shipping for defective items, which mine clearly is, but getting them to actually cover it and provide any support has been impossible despite a week of trying.
The quality just doesn't match what you're paying for. Mine stopped working after about two weeks and I couldn't get anyone from their customer service to help. Save yourself the frustration and money by looking elsewhere or just toss your cash in the garbage, honestly you'd get better value.
Got sold a broken product and then had to wait over two months just to get a response after repeatedly trying to contact them by phone, email, and social platforms to get a warranty replacement. When they finally replied they wanted photos of the speaker, which had been sitting broken in my home the whole time and eventually got thrown out. I explained this to them and noted that their website warranty section never said I had to return the broken unit, not to mention the shipping cost I'd be stuck with. Now they're refusing to replace it due to their poor product and service. This company operates in a shady, untrustworthy way.
