What Shoppers Say About Paravel
Paravel's luggage has strong aesthetic appeal that initially attracts shoppers, but the brand struggles with significant quality and fulfillment issues. Multiple reviewers report durability problems with their bags, including failing zippers, snapped locks, and deteriorating finishes after minimal use, which feels mismatched to the premium price point. Shipping delays are a recurring complaint, with some customers waiting 7 to 8 weeks for orders with minimal communication and refusals for refunds or replacements.
A small segment of satisfied customers praise Paravel's customer service responsiveness and willingness to resolve issues when contacted, along with the bags' visual design. However, these positive experiences are outweighed by complaints about product quality, sluggish delivery times, and unresponsive support in high-friction situations. For shoppers considering Paravel, expectations should be tempered regarding both durability and logistics.

Sorted by: Most recentThe aesthetic is really appealing, but unfortunately the quality doesn't match what you'd expect at this price point.
My order is now 50 days old with no product and no solution. I placed this order over seven weeks ago and still haven't received it. All I had was tracking through the app showing 'in transit' for more than a month with zero updates. I contacted them about the delay and they refused to offer a refund or replacement, claiming the personalization meant they couldn't help, even though the bag never arrived. Their answer was that I'd have to wait for the original package to come back to their facility first, then they'd ship again with no guaranteed timeframe. Still no tracking number, still no updates. After 40 days of nothing, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Paravel's response was basically 'sorry it didn't work out.' This feels like theft at this point.
Customer service really came through for us. We ran into a couple issues with our order and needed to send something back. They were super responsive, easy to get ahold of, and fixed everything smoothly. We're really happy with the quality of what we got and can't wait to actually use these bags on our trips.
The quality falls short of what you're paying for. I got drawn in by how stunning these bags are, but that appeal wears off fast when durability becomes an issue. I have two carry-ons plus one Navigator, and the finish is terrible. The Navigator already looks trashed even though I've only checked it twice and used it a few times total. The company tries to suggest you shouldn't check a cream colored bag, but that doesn't make sense since this is literally a checked bag size. A suitcase has to survive baggage handling no matter what, whether you're flying commercial or any other way. The paint coating they use is just too delicate and can't handle normal contact with other luggage or airport floors. Skip this and save your money.
Two months have gone by and my order still hasn't arrived. This is disappointing for what's supposed to be premium luggage with reliable service.
After spending considerable time comparing options, I decided to go with the Paravel Aviator Plus and Aviator Grand as an investment in quality luggage. The delivery was staggered and I had to follow up on shipping delays more than once. Unfortunately, on my first trip, the Aviator Grand failed completely - the TSA lock snapped right off and the zipper broke too. I ended up having to purchase a replacement bag while traveling just to get home. When I contacted support about this, they only offered to mail me a replacement zipper and suggested I get someone local to install it. Over a month has passed and I still haven't received those parts. For this price range, I expected significantly better build quality and support. I owned a much cheaper Tripp bag that lasted 10 years through dozens of flights without any problems. These cases look gorgeous, but the actual durability and how the company handled my complaint are really frustrating.
I placed my order for two aviators and a packing cube and paid in full. By late March, the items hadn't shown up, so I reached out. Customer service told me DHL had sent the shipment back for some reason, and they'd reorder everything which should arrive in a couple weeks. I was really frustrated because I needed those cases for an upcoming trip. That trip has already happened and I still don't have my aviators or packing cubes. I've sent follow-up complaints but haven't heard back from Paravel. The support and follow-up here is honestly unacceptable.
