What Shoppers Say About Good Life
Good Life's bark control devices have generated sharply divided opinions among the small group of shoppers who have reviewed them. The single five-star review praises the company's customer service, fast shipping, and responsive communication, noting that the team worked well with the customer even when the product did not meet expectations. However, three one-star reviews paint a concerning picture: customers report that the devices do not work as advertised, even when purchased in multiples and positioned strategically; one shopper could not reach the company through email, phone, or contact form and questioned its legitimacy; and another expressed frustration with the 60-day return policy, citing hidden fees that make returns economically impractical.
The core complaint across negative reviews is product ineffectiveness. Shoppers purchased these devices specifically to stop dogs from barking, but report that the dogs ignored the devices regardless of placement or quantity. The lack of responsiveness from the company in at least one case, combined with return policy friction, suggests potential operational issues that may undermine customer trust even when the product itself might theoretically work for some users.

Sorted by: Most recentDon't expect this product to perform as advertised, especially when they claim it covers large areas. While they advertise a 60-day return window, check the fine print before assuming it's a good deal. They'll deduct various fees when you send it back, making the total cost way higher than just buying something cheaper elsewhere that works just as well. Their marketing makes big promises they don't deliver on. I'd steer clear and look for alternatives. I got their solar pack version and practically needed a completely open yard with no trees, fences, or bushes to even use it properly. Not worth the trouble.
I've been trying to reach someone at this company but haven't had any luck. I've attempted contacting them through email, calling the phone number listed on their website, and even using their contact form. No response from any of these methods. It's starting to feel like this might not be a legitimate business.
I bought one of these devices and after it didn't work very well, I figured buying a second one might help based on something I read online about placing them in different spots facing the problem area. Turned out that made no difference whatsoever. The barking dog completely ignored both devices. Then after several months, one unit just completely stopped functioning, naturally right when the warranty expired. I even wrote a detailed review with photos hoping the company would reach out to me about it, but they never published it on their site. Save yourself the money and skip the Dog Silencer Max entirely.
If only every business operated like this one. The device I ordered didn't cover the distance I was hoping for when it came to stopping a dog from barking constantly, but the team behind the company was absolutely wonderful to work with. They shipped my order quickly, got back to my emails right away, allowed me a reasonable timeframe to return items, and processed my refund without any hassle. I wish more companies showed this kind of care and professionalism.
