The staff greets you warmly, even the restaurant manager remembers you and makes you feel welcomed back. The rooms are spotless, the spa facilities are wonderful, and their breakfast spread is amazing. Really impressed with the attention to detail and genuine hospitality throughout our stays.
We purchased a hotel voucher for a property in Cavalese, Italy and ran into serious problems trying to actually use it. The hotel only allows bookings during summer months with virtually no explanation, and you're required to call 15 days before your planned visit just to find out if they have availability. Hotel Grünwald apparently opens just a handful of times throughout the year, but there's no way to know when or if those dates match your schedule since they don't publish their availability window. Over the course of 3 years we made multiple booking attempts, all unsuccessful. We also requested a refund and got nowhere. The restrictions that make this voucher nearly impossible to use aren't disclosed anywhere on the we-are.travel website or the hotel's site. When we reached out for help, their response was basically that it's the hotel's problem, not theirs. We were told to contact the hotel directly and that we-are.travel isn't responsible. There's zero customer service support here. The company could have reached out to the hotel to work something out, but they clearly have no interest in helping. This has been a complete waste of money.
We bought a Livigno voucher and it's impossible to actually reserve a room whenever you want. Hotel Mota has maybe one or two available dates each year, and they don't care if those dates work for you or not. We spent 3 years trying different times to book with zero success. Getting a refund turned out to be just as impossible. If you value your money, skip buying these vouchers unless you want to throw away 400 euros or more. Both we-are.travel and Hotel Mota provide awful customer service.
