Wig.com Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Wig.com
Wig.com has a very low average rating of 1.8 out of 5 based on 4 customer reviews, with three-quarters of shoppers giving it one star. The primary complaints center on customer service failures, including unclear refund policies (particularly for international orders), difficulty accessing advertised guarantees, inconsistent information from representatives, and complicated return processes. Product quality receives mixed feedback; some shoppers praise Paula Young and WigShop brand wigs as solid options with good appearance and volume for the price, while others report severe quality issues, describing the hair as feeling cheap and plastic-like.
The overwhelming pattern in negative reviews involves customer service breakdowns: customers spending significant time trying to resolve issues, difficulty reaching representatives who provide consistent answers, and hidden or hard-to-find terms buried on secondary pages. Even the one four-star review acknowledged that while the wigs themselves offer decent value, the company's customer support is a major weakness. For shoppers considering this retailer, product quality may vary by brand, but expectations for customer service should be managed accordingly.

Sorted by: Most recentWatch out if you're north of the border. They refused to give me my complete refund, insisting the $77 shipping charge was justified because it's going to another country. The problem is they never made this clear in their refund terms on the site. Canadian shoppers especially need to know about this.
Got helpful info from a rep, but too late. I spent an hour and a half on Sunday trying to get customer service to honor their advertised 200% price guarantee, then called back Monday when they still wouldn't do it. Eventually a representative showed me that the real guarantee is buried on a totally different page that you can't find or access from where you actually check out. It's not linked or mentioned where the guarantee I was counting on is displayed. What did their rep tell me? Basically that I'd be better off buying from Paula Young instead since they might have better prices. No mention of their restocking policy or anything to convince me to stay. I'm done with Wig.com. I was a loyal customer who left nothing but five star reviews too.
Good wigs, disappointing support. In my experience, this company's customer service leaves a lot to be desired, but honestly the wigs themselves are solid for the price. Paula Young brand is a great option if you're just starting out - the quality is nice, they have plenty of hair, and they look real. WigShop's line is even more affordable and still decent quality overall. The lighter blonde shades tend to have too much shine to them, but the other colors are fine. All of them sit comfortably on the head and honestly stack up pretty well against pricier basic cap wigs. I was actually impressed considering what some other people said. Just keep in mind these aren't costume or party wigs.
Stay away. Hands down the worst wig retailer I've dealt with. Their hair quality is awful, basically feels like cheap plastic and looks like shiny rope. It's so bad you can't even give the pieces away. I got on the phone with five different customer service reps the other day and every single one told me something different about how returns work and what fees applied. Save yourself the headache. Look at other retailers instead. Just so you know, this company owns a couple other brands including Especially Yours, Beyond, and Paula Young. Don't throw your money away here.
