I've noticed that Skagen's build quality has really gone downhill lately. Stay away from Skagen watches. There are much better options out there like Titan. Wore mine in the rain under a jacket and it stopped working. Even under warranty they wanted to charge me for repairs. The quality is really poor. Brands like Sonata and Titan are way superior.

Giving one star because I can't go lower. Do not buy from Skagen or their parent company. It appears they merged and now their support is awful. I sent my wife's watch in for a battery replacement and new strap. They emailed back saying they couldn't get the right strap, couldn't install a new battery, and couldn't even close the watch back up. They offered me a discount on a completely new one instead. So the first time it needs a battery, it's basically trash? Then I sent another watch in for a new crystal and battery. They charged me $84, claiming they had to replace the movement, case, and strap. That's basically an entire new watch, even though it was far less than the original cost. When I asked why, they said the crystal, case, and strap were all connected as one unit, which made no sense since the strap is clearly held on with screws and was fine. Got the watch back today and discovered they'd put the mesh metal strap back on upside down.

I've been wearing my Skagen watch for several years and it still looks amazing. So many people I know love this brand, and it's clear why when you see them on someone's wrist. My family absolutely raves about Skagen watches! They're definitely not outdated or going out of style. It's rare to find a company with such a great selection of pieces I'd actually want to wear. I'm definitely planning to buy from them again in the future.
