Smileactives Reviews
Smileactives has received a rating of 1.0 out of 5 based on 22 customer reviews. Shoppers report serious concerns about the company's business practices, particularly regarding unauthorized recurring charges and automatic enrollment in subscription programs. Customers describe being charged repeatedly for products they did not request, difficulty canceling subscriptions, and product shipments that continue despite cancellation requests. Multiple reviewers report that customer service acknowledges cancellations but charges continue to appear on credit card statements, and some customers experienced additional charges even after returning products.
Beyond billing issues, shoppers characterize the product quality as mediocre and note that the pricing structure is intentionally unclear. Several customers express regret over not reading terms carefully before ordering, and many describe the overall operation as a scam. The lack of positive reviews and the consistency of complaints about recurring billing suggest significant dissatisfaction with both the company's transparency and its billing practices.
This is a scam operation. You pay for the first shipment then they continuously bill you and ship you more stuff. When I sent the product back, I paid $15 to ship it and cancelled. They charged me again and sent more anyway. I had to keep returning shipments and they told me I'd only get credit for the second charge. My 60 day refund never came through. Skip this product entirely. It's basically just peroxide.
This product and company appear to be a well advertised scam. Quality wise it's pretty poor, and their billing practices aren't transparent at all. The full size product in your second order runs about $90. It's split into monthly installments of roughly $30. But you'll still pay that full $90 even if you try to cancel. I should have been more careful reading, but I honestly didn't realize the bigger container would be $90 every time. Never will again.
This seems to be a heavily promoted scam. The product is mediocre at worst, and the billing structure is intentionally confusing. That full sized container for round two costs around $90. They break it down into three monthly charges of about $30 each. Even if you cancel, you're still on the hook for the full $90. I should've read better, but the larger container pricing wasn't transparent. Won't happen again.
I ordered in January and got what I paid for initially. But February came around and they shipped me more stuff and charged me without asking. Turns out they automatically sign you up for their autoship program. When I chatted with support and asked them to get me off autoship, they said they did. My credit card statement tells a different story though. Got charged again recently and I didn't even receive anything this time. They're hard to get ahold of, so I'm going to have my credit card company handle this and reverse the charges. Don't fall for their signup offer.
This absolutely doesn't deserve even a single star. Major scam. This company should be forced to shut down.
This doesn't even deserve one star. What a scam. This company needs to be shut down.
Protect your banking info and stay away from these guys. I've called them three separate times and I still can't get out of this subscription that I never even signed up for.
Keep your credit card away from these people. I've called them three times and still can't get rid of a subscription I never signed up for in the first place.
If negative stars were possible, I'd use them. The product flat out didn't work and trying to cancel turned into a nightmare. I made multiple calls trying to get them to stop sending shipments. Returning the items cost me money, then they charged me for the return shipping too, which added up to $22. They tell you one thing but your credit card statement shows something totally different. Don't get caught up with this company.
This outfit is a total ripoff. Their cancellation process is unnecessarily complicated and their pricing is dishonest.
Don't waste your money on this company. The cancellation process is incredibly difficult and their pricing tactics are completely unfair.
Total ripoff from this company. Getting out of my account was a nightmare, and their pricing scheme is straight up dishonest.
Be careful with this company's deceptive marketing tactics. That cheap starting price has fine print buried in it saying you won't just be charged $30 including shipping instead you're paying $90 spread across three months, then the same charge repeats 90 days later. The commercial displays a big container, but when you review it again after getting your shipment, there's more fine print at the very bottom stating the picture doesn't represent what you'll receive.
Watch out for the misleading marketing from this company. That low introductory price comes with hidden details in tiny print saying you won't just pay $30 with shipping, you're actually looking at $90 spread over three months, and that same cycle repeats every 90 days after. The advertisement shows a large bottle, but if you watch it carefully after your order arrives, you'll notice more small print at the bottom explaining that what you see in the ad isn't what you'll actually get.
