Thorne Reviews
Thorne receives consistently negative feedback centered on customer service failures and shipping issues. Shoppers report unresponsive support teams, delayed deliveries without tracking updates, and difficulty obtaining help through multiple contact channels. Several reviewers noted that when they experienced problems like wrong orders or missing shipments, the company provided no follow-up or resolution.
While some reviewers acknowledge that Thorne's supplements themselves are of decent quality, this is outweighed by complaints about premium pricing without corresponding service levels. Concerns also emerge about product formulation choices, with one reviewer criticizing the Men's Multivitamin for requiring six daily capsules, which they interpreted as a marketing tactic to display higher daily value percentages. Additionally, paid specialist consultations were described as offering generic, copied information rather than personalized guidance.
These prices are steep and their customer service is absolutely awful. I called and got a rep named Kayla who was genuinely terrible at her job. If you're going to ask customers to pay premium prices, at minimum you need to back it up with decent service. There are way better options out there.
I'm really let down with this company. My shipment took way longer than it should have and they didn't keep me updated at all. When you're depending on supplements for your health routine, that kind of lag time is totally unacceptable. To make matters worse, I complained to their support team and got absolutely nothing back. No follow-up. No explanation. Nothing. It's like once they've charged your card, they're done with you. For a company that charges premium prices and acts premium, the actual service is far from it. Slow delivery and missing customer support doesn't match what people should expect at these price points. I won't be ordering again and honestly other people should think hard before giving them their money.
Picked up their Mens Multivitamin because the reviews seemed solid, but nobody mentioned that you have to take SIX capsules every single day. Six?? Why would someone take six of the same vitamin capsules daily? Oh I see, because they recommend it on the label so they can show the highest daily values compared to every other brand. Clever marketing but pretty dishonest if you ask me. Total scam move.
Customer service is useless. I got sent the wrong stuff and left multiple voicemails and emails with no response. Tried using their chat feature and good luck getting help with anything beyond what their automated system can handle. I'm done dealing with this company.
The supplements themselves are pretty good, but the customer service and how they communicate is absolutely terrible and frankly unacceptable. First off, that specialist consultation thing is honestly kind of a ripoff. You pay for it and they say they'll give you a credit for next time, but the info you get is literally just copied from the product description. And that credit they promise doesn't even work on subscriptions. Complete waste of both time and money. Then there's the subscription mess. My payment didn't go through so I got one of those generic automated emails. I fixed it and paid, but then two days later without any heads up they charged me again for the same thing and shipped it out automatically. When I tried reaching out to customer service, nothing. Been waiting four days for any kind of response. Their whole website is confusing too. There's no way to cancel your subscription, no way to remove a credit card from a subscription, and their help section is just wrong. They claim there's a cancel button that doesn't even exist. Basically you're stuck waiting for them to get back to you. So here I am double-charged with extra stuff I don't want and a subscription I can't get out of. All because their system is broken and nobody's available to help.
I never got my order and their support team never replied. Ended up filing a chargeback dispute to recover my money. Scam.
My order never showed up. Tried contacting their customer service and got radio silence. Ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card company just to get my money back. Total scam.
I purchased their Sacro B based on their website saying it was kosher certified. Once I opened the package, there was no kosher certification label on the bottle. I emailed their customer service with a screenshot from their own site showing the kosher claim, and never got a response. Two days later I called and spoke with someone named Christine who said the product isn't actually kosher and promised to fix the website. She was dismissive and hung up without any real conversation. The company puts false information out there and their support is terrible. I can't recommend them.
Bought their Sacro B product specifically because their website said it had kosher certification. When I got it, there was no certification mark on the label. I contacted their support team and sent them a link to their own website showing the kosher claim, but got nothing back. Called two days later and talked to someone named Christine who admitted it wasn't actually kosher and said they'd take that off the site. She was pretty rude the whole call and just hung up on me. This company misleads people and doesn't stand behind their customers. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
Fell for the celebrity endorsement saying this company was excellent. We contacted them requesting independent lab testing and actual proof that paying their prices made sense. They turned us down and were rude about refusing. Just like the rest of the supplement world, they're full of it. Show real scientific evidence about your ingredients and how well your products actually work, or stop misleading people.
We bought into all the hype from celebrity endorsements about how great this company was. When we reached out asking for independent lab testing and actual scientific proof that their prices were justified, they straight up refused and were pretty rude about it. These guys are no different from the rest of the sketchy supplement industry. If you're going to charge premium prices, you should back it up with real evidence about your ingredients and whether your stuff actually works.
Used to be great but something's changed. I think it's the new customer service team they brought on. I've been emailing back and forth with someone named Abby and she clearly doesn't know what she's doing. Also tried getting info on when a out of stock item would be restocked and got three different answers from three different people in two days. Still waiting on it. My husband and I have been loyal customers for over 18 years, and I've wasted about 4 hours trying to get my test results sorted between chat, email, and a phone call where I was on hold for an hour before the line just dropped when someone finally picked up. Really hoping they can fix these issues soon because there are tons of other companies out there that do better.
Their service is completely bonkers. Ordered something I needed to send back. Hit up their chat and was told return instructions would come by email. A week passes and nothing shows up. Emailed the company directly asking for those instructions and got silence. Finally called and waited forever on hold. Told them I had a return and a rep named Christy said to find a box, put the item in, seal it up, and ship it out. Really helpful there. I asked for the address and she was reluctant to provide it. I asked her to spell it and she just recited it fast. Asked a second time for spelling and she spelled it but seemed really bothered by it. Needed one more thing answered, she looked it up, and brought back the RMA number. That's literally what I needed from the start, not the tutorial on how to pack a box. I'm stopping all my auto-ship orders and going with a different company instead. Not dealing with this.
The supplements work great but returning things is an absolute nightmare. Their customer service is legitimately crazy. I ordered something that wasn't right for me so I needed to send it back. I reached out on their chat and they said they'd email me return details. Days go by, nothing. I emailed directly asking for those instructions and still got nothing. Finally I called them up. After being on hold forever, I got someone named Christy and said I needed to return something. She told me to get a box, put the item in it, tape it shut, and mail it back. Thanks for that incredibly obvious tip. I had to ask for the mailing address and she acted like she didn't want to give it to me. When I asked her to spell it out, she just said it again real fast. I asked again and she spelled it but seemed annoyed about it. Then I needed one more piece of information, she went to find it, and came back with the RMA number. That RMA and the address were literally all I needed to start with instead of instructions on how to wrap a package. I'm canceling all of my subscription orders and switching to a different brand. Not worth dealing with this.
