Let down by TravelPro. Purchased four Medium Maxlite suitcases in December. We used them on two family vacations. On our latest trip just before the end of the year, all four are now unusable. Three have cracks or deep dents on the corners and one has a bent corner where the wheels attach that's so damaged the roller doesn't even contact the ground. We also brought an older, large American Tourister soft-sided bag on the same trip that had tons of stuff packed in it. It came back in perfect shape. Here's the thing - I spent the same amount for a complete American Tourister set as I did on one TravelPro set. So I contacted TravelPro. Turns out they quit making the model we bought just twelve months ago, so there's no warranty support. They offered 15% off a new purchase! Are you serious? In the past, I've traveled more than a million miles with cheap luggage and never had problems. We decided to spend more on quality and got a dud after just one year. Let the buyer beware!

I bought a Travelpro Platinum Elite carry on based on their Trusted Companion Promise that mentioned repair shipping costs were covered. When I filed a claim for damaged handles, TravelPro did step up and offered a replacement since the parts aren't made anymore. The problem is they're charging me $50 for shipping. Based on what their warranty said, I don't think that charge should apply.

What a nightmare with customer service at first! My package went to the wrong address by the delivery company. I documented everything with photos showing the delivery location didn't match anywhere at my place. I checked with my neighbors and mentioned that in my report. The customer service person had trouble with English, kept repeating the same scripted answers, and wouldn't let me speak to anyone else. I filed a complaint and they told me the package was delivered so it's not their problem and it's the delivery company's fault. They suggested I just order another expensive suitcase and get free shipping. Are you kidding? EDIT - Amazingly, the very next day after posting my experience, I got an email from Travelpro saying they're sending me a new suitcase at zero cost. Whether my review made a difference or not, I'm genuinely grateful they chose to do the right thing.

The bag came in on time and I'm satisfied with how well it's made.

Trying to return something usually means dealing with complicated hoops, aggressive sales tactics, or straight up being avoided. Instead, I went on their site and had a prepaid label plus my return authorization number in two minutes flat. It was that easy. Seriously impressive service.
