Urban Armor Gear Reviews
Urban Armor Gear shoppers are sharply divided in their opinions. Half of reviewers give five-star ratings, praising the durability and protective quality of the cases, particularly the Monarch line. These satisfied customers highlight exceptional customer service, noting that the support team goes above and beyond to resolve issues and handle mistakes professionally. Several reviewers report cases that have protected their phones effectively over years of use.
The other half express serious concerns about product quality and pricing. One-star reviewers report cases that failed quickly, with back panels detaching and coatings chipping phones. Complaints also center on pricing practices, with customers noting that cases are significantly more expensive on Urban Armor Gear's own website compared to third-party retailers like Amazon. Some purchasers have experienced frustration with support responses regarding defective products, though at least one case was approved for a claim.
Stay away from this company. The pricing is really sketchy. I emailed them asking why the Monarch case for the Samsung S26 Ultra is barely available on Amazon while their own site charges more. Their support gave me some nonsense about distribution channels. Amazon takes a commission, so sure their prices are lower. But their storefront is making way more per sale. Compare the S26 Ultra Monarch at around $120 to their S25 Ultra at $96 and S24 Ultra at $57. New doesn't mean double the price, especially when the materials are identical. Asked them to match Amazon pricing and they never responded. Don't throw your money away on these inflated prices.
Ordered the wrong model case for my phone and called their support line. They went way above and beyond to fix my mistake. The team was nothing but professional. They should honestly teach other companies how to run customer service the right way.
Customer service handled my issue immediately and got it sorted. These cases are seriously good for protecting your phone. I had a different brand before and my back glass cracked. Haven't had any problems with the one I have now.
Bought a Samsung s24 ultra case for about $55 and it literally fell to pieces. The back panel just detached completely. On top of that, the coating is chipping my phone. My phone is metallic gray and I can now see silver scratches where the coating peeled off. One edge is completely torn. Reached out and support approved my claim but said it was out of stock with no timeframe. They offered $25, which I declined. They bumped it to $35 and claimed they were doing me a favor. That doesn't even come close to replacing it plus shipping to my country. They gave me an ultimatum of waiting or taking the $35. I spent thousands on my phone and they won't even tell me when stock arrives. I asked for a comparable case and they refused. Now my phone has no protection. Look elsewhere for cases. Don't waste your time with them or their support team.
Just grabbed the Monarch Kevlar case for my iPhone 17 Pro. The design, fit and style are all excellent. I had a Monarch case before for my iPhone Xs that worked flawlessly. Even after years and rough handling it kept protecting my phone. These cases are built to last. I was so impressed I went back and picked up some other items from their site too.
My previous review got deleted because I accidentally ordered from a fake website. Just a heads up to double check which site you're using before you buy. I'm leaving four stars since my order wasn't from the real place.
This place is a mess. Sent me the wrong case on my first order. Wrong model, wrong phone size. They replaced it for free but sent the exact wrong case again. Two orders in a row and I still don't have what I actually paid for.
This company filters out negative reviews. I left a two star rating mentioning that the bottom is way too slippery and the phone keeps sliding out, plus the case is really thick. They never posted it. Asked me to revise it, I did, and it still didn't go up. That's not honest business practices if you ask me.
These cases aren't what they claim to be. Got one off Amazon that was marketed as military grade and basically unbreakable. After a few weeks it started falling apart at the seams. Contacted their warranty team, filled out their form, sent an invoice copy and photos, and got told that wear and tear wasn't covered. Then they said they'd replace it anyway. Except the case was out of stock with no timeline. I pushed back saying a military grade Kevlar case shouldn't fray that quickly and it's not normal wear and tear. At that point they withdrew their offer and claimed it didn't meet their warranty because I bought it on Amazon. Amazon ended up giving me my money back instead. The company clearly doesn't handle honest criticism well and takes things personally. That case cost me real money and I'm frustrated.
Had trouble with an older biodegradable phone case model. The support team responded fast and handled everything professionally. With customer service this good, there's really no way to have a bad experience shopping here.
Really disappointed with my Monarch Pro case for the 14 Pro Max. This has to be one of the worst purchases I've ever made. The quality is poor, the sides feel loose, there are sharp edges everywhere, the magsafe doesn't work well, and there's no felt protection on the inside. For the price they charge, this is unacceptable. Check out reviews from other tech channels if you want to see how bad it really is. The back of your phone could actually crack. You're better off looking at Mous, Nomad, Phone Rebel, or Speck.
Got my case from their Amazon store and it started having problems. Emailed them and they requested some photos plus proof I bought it. Once I got that to them, they updated me regularly and within 48 hours sent an email saying a replacement was on the way. Amazing service. This is the kind of company you want to do business with. I'd tell anyone to pick up one of their cases.
Purchased my case through their Amazon storefront and ran into an issue. When I reached out to them directly, they asked for photos and purchase verification. After sending everything over, they kept me in the loop throughout and emailed me within two days confirming a replacement was on the way. Couldn't ask for better support. Really impressed with how they handle things. Would definitely recommend their cases to anyone looking for solid protection.
Wanted to return a Samsung tablet cover that wasn't compatible with my screen protector. They told me to send it however I could. Then they wouldn't process it without me emailing a tracking number. Honestly the worst return experience I've had. Won't be buying from them again. If you ever need to send something back to them, you're basically out of luck. They make the whole process incredibly difficult.
I'm convinced this place is running a scam. Ordered cases and got sent the wrong ones. I immediately shipped them back via FedEx with a delivery confirmation. Can't get anyone from their support team to actually help me beyond someone answering the phone saying they'll take a message. I've already contacted my bank and will be disputing the charge. The ridiculous part is I lived close enough to get one in person but was too lazy to go. If they'd let me give negative stars I would. These folks are either straight-up dishonest or completely incompetent at running a business. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Don't give them your money.
