Burton Snowboards Reviews
Burton Snowboards receives sharply divided ratings, with shoppers either highly satisfied or deeply frustrated. Those giving five stars praise individual customer service representatives who go the extra mile to resolve issues, with one reviewer crediting a staff member named Lauren for working through a prolonged refund problem. However, the majority of reviews highlight serious operational failures: multiple customers report missing refunds after returning items, with some waiting months without resolution. Shipping delays, unresponsive support teams, and long turnaround times for repairs or refunds are recurring complaints.
Product durability is another pain point, with reviewers reporting that boots and binding components fail after minimal use despite premium pricing. Customers express particular frustration with Burton's warranty limitations (one-year coverage) and refusal to sell individual replacement parts, forcing them to mail entire bindings for week-long repairs. The overall sentiment suggests systemic issues with order fulfillment, customer service responsiveness, and post-sale support that leave many shoppers feeling the company does not value their business.
I'm really disappointed in both the product and how I was treated. My son got Burton snowboard boots late last season and barely wore them a few times before the BOA system broke and the back got ripped. For what you pay for this stuff it should definitely last longer than a couple of uses. The customer service experience was even worse. The person on the phone was hard to understand, didn't seem to care about helping, gave me nothing to work with, and basically hung up on me. There was zero effort to stand by their product. Burton talks a big game about being premium and dependable but this whole thing proves otherwise. The quality is bad, the support is bad, and they don't take responsibility. I won't be buying Burton again and I'd tell other people to think hard before you do.
Same situation a lot of other customers are dealing with. The shipping courier kept missing delivery windows to get my package to the UK so I asked them to stop it and send it back to Burton before the holidays for my money back. Now almost two months later and they're still holding onto my six hundred pounds. The support team won't do anything to help find my refund even though they said they have the package in their warehouse and have the courier receipt. I ended up filing a dispute through my card company which is what I'd tell anyone else to do in this mess. They're not even responding so I'm going to be waiting till the last second to finally get my cash back.
Still waiting on my refund for gloves that never showed up. Been emailing about this for a month with no results.
I bought Burton step ons and reached out to see if I could get replacement parts for the toe and heel clips since they break pretty easily and make the bindings useless. They said they don't sell individual parts and the warranty only covers one year of repairs anyway. Who wants to mail their whole binding back and wait weeks for a repair? Burton really needs to step up their customer care game after the sale.
I was trying to get my refund but they kept saying they never got the parcel I returned. We went back and forth for a while until Lauren finally got everything worked out. Really grateful she was able to make it happen.
Something is seriously broken with how this company operates. I haven't even seen my products yet because the whole ordering process was terrible. It feels like Burton doesn't actually care about snowboarders anymore based on how poorly they handle everything.
Everyone at the Verbier Flagship location was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I came in to try out some gear and ended up purchasing a full kit. Special shout out to Sofia for going above and beyond with her help and professionalism.
I normally love Burton stuff but I'm definitely going to think twice about buying from them online after this. I ordered the Photon boots and when they got here they were too big. I sent them back right away and they rejected the return saying there were scuff marks on them. That's how they arrived to me in the first place. Only one boot even has marks and the other looks fine. How does that make sense. The customer service team won't work with me at all even though I already bought the right size and now I'm stuck with five hundred dollar boots I can't use. This shouldn't be on me. Just stick with in-store purchases if you're thinking about ordering boots online. Service is really terrible. On top of that I spent six hundred on clothes there too but apparently that doesn't mean anything to them. Burton seems like a big corporation that only cares about making money, not about taking care of the people who buy from them.
Terrible customer service. I placed an order a week ago and it still hasn't shipped even though the website says it'll go out in twenty four to forty eight hours. Customer support was useless. They don't seem to have any real shipping system set up. When I asked them to cancel they said I'd have to wait to get it first and then request a refund. Don't buy from them. The actual products are good but the way they handle orders and support is a nightmare. Go with EVO, Amazon, or somewhere that actually knows what they're doing.
Burton's customer service team is absolutely amazing. What could have turned into a big headache got resolved super fast and my stuff is already on the way to me. Going to get it before the end of Monday and I couldn't be happier. Special thanks to Christina, Alfonso, and everyone else on the team for making it happen.
Picked up my multipath 27l backpack back in 2021 and it's hands down the best travel pack I've ever had. Super comfy with tons of pockets and quick access. Fits fine as carry-on too. Over a year later with tons of trips and everything still works perfectly. Nothing has broken or worn out. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a solid pack.
This is my second Burton backpack and I'm really happy with both of them. Got the Treble Yell from a shop nearby and the build quality and style are fantastic. Haven't needed to use customer support since neither pack has had any issues. The sternum strap is seriously one of my favorite features now, makes a huge difference when I'm carrying gear. I'd definitely suggest Burton to anyone looking for a solid backpack. They've become my go-to choice. Appreciate the great products, Burton!
I've always been happy with Burton gear. I use their products a few weeks a year and think the quality is worth what you pay. I've rented their Moto snowboard boots before and they were the most comfortable option every time. Two weeks before a ski trip I decided to buy a pair online. I was worried reading some of the bad reviews on here but everything went super smoothly. Got my package shipped internationally within three days which is amazing given how crazy things are right now. Really love the boots I got. Thanks Burton.
Really happy with the service I got. They took care of my issue immediately thanks to Charmie.
