We just wrapped up ten nights at the Lawana Bay property in Koh Samui and it was wonderfully relaxing. The rooms were exactly what we hoped for with excellent AC and a nice porch perfect for relaxing in the breeze. The dining spots and bar areas were great. The staff across the property were terrific. We especially want to mention the buggy drivers who shuttled us back and forth to the beach. Those guys were always smiling and genuinely interested in making sure we had everything we needed.

My five night stay fell short of what I'd expect from a luxury hotel. Plus when the bill came, their staff didn't even recognize our three memberships so we got charged full price for something that should've been covered. Frustrating all around.
Stayed at the Legian location with our family of three and had a really nice time. The hotel is lovely and the staff are genuinely friendly and always willing to help with anything you need. Our rooms were clean and well maintained. Everyone does their job well and we'd definitely suggest this place to others looking for a good resort experience.

Special shout out to Ahmed, Kevin, and Ariel for their exceptional support. The Crescendo restaurant staff Diana, Faiyaz, and Venu were wonderful too, taking great care of us the entire stay and even surprising us with cake and well wishes on our final day. These folks deserve major recognition. Ariel also helped us work through some challenges. Really appreciate everyone's kindness and dedication.
Very disappointed with what was promised versus what we got. For a room over 250 euros per night, we faced a garage view. The vegan breakfast was a huge letdown. Management swore they had excellent vegan options but clearly whoever said that doesn't understand modern vegan food. Their F&B team seems to think vegans only eat raw vegetables like rabbits. In this day and age, that's simply ignorant with no excuse. At that price point, I expect staff to understand what they're offering. I should have been able to choose vegan sausage, vegan ham, vegan croissants, or vegan pastries. Every dish should have been labeled clearly as vegan or not. But apparently that's too much work for them. Why claim you have amazing vegan options when we felt completely left out and had to buy our own food to have a decent breakfast? Really disappointed. Been a customer since the Regent days back in 1990 but won't be returning unless they offer real solutions.
Amazing holiday at a genuinely friendly resort. Perfect for families with kids of all ages. The lagoons and pools are everywhere and most areas are shallow and safe for children. Lots of staff around watching over everything. Have to give big props to Jamal in housekeeping who was super helpful and always ready to assist.
One of the best spa experiences we've had. The massage and skincare treatments were incredibly professional and thoughtful. The therapists really knew their stuff and paid attention to what we needed. Dao and her team absolutely nailed our sessions. We're going back for another treatment before we head out. I want to warn people about the Anantara Vacation Club membership scheme. Years back our family responded to an ad and visited their Phuket property. They offered a free two night stay at a gorgeous resort if we just attended a sales presentation about the club. The sales guy was convincing and made it sound so appealing that we missed some major red flags. Here's what they don't tell you upfront. First, they charge nearly two thousand dollars every January in admin fees and these charges keep going up yearly. Over thirty years you end up paying way more than double what you initially think. Second, they make it seem like your points will stay valuable but the truth is your buying power shrinks every year because you get fewer points which means fewer nights. Third, the hotels you can actually book through the club are much lower quality than the fancy Anantara properties. The Phuket resort where we bought in was dangled as bait and never offered again. Finally their customer support is awful and takes forever to respond. Don't fall for it like we did.
