What Shoppers Say About Z1 Motorsports
Z1 Motorsports receives highly polarized feedback, with shoppers either praising the knowledgeable staff and professional service or expressing frustration with operational issues. Positive reviewers consistently highlight the expertise of individual team members, willingness to answer detailed questions, and the impressive facility and Z-car history on display. Staff members are frequently named and credited for going above and beyond to help customers.
Negative reviews center on order fulfillment problems, including canceled orders with unclear explanations, incorrect items shipped, and high shipping costs. Customers also report quality and fit issues with products, particularly higher-priced items, along with frustration over unresponsive or slow customer service resolution when problems arise. The disconnect between shipping costs and handling of returns appears to be a recurring source of dissatisfaction.

Sorted by: Most recentThe staff at Z1 really knows their stuff and goes out of their way to help. The facility itself is impressive, set up like a real professional shop with some incredible Z history displayed everywhere. Jesse and Alex especially took great care of us. Alex answered all our questions over a few days as we arranged a local pickup, then had our front bumper packed perfectly into a Honda civic hatchback. Jesse checked us out fast and then gave me and my son a tour of the whole operation, explaining the history and how much Z1 does for Nissan, Infiniti, and Toyota customers with both factory and performance parts. The showroom has some amazing Z builds on display plus a few Skylines and GTRs. The lounge area is cool too where you can watch dyno runs happen in real time. These guys are excellent and I can't say enough good things about them. We're going to get all our Z parts through Z1 from now on.
Their shipping costs are way too high. Seems like they're making money not just on selling parts but really padding the profits with shipping fees.
The level of customer service here is seriously impressive. They go way above and beyond what I expected. They'll answer questions about the products, help with installation, and share extra knowledge without you even having to ask. Georgia Nick especially deserves props for his patience and knowledge. Thanks for everything.
Ordered a control arm, paid for it, then they canceled the order saying it was discontinued even though it was available when I bought it. Their reason for the cancellation seemed sketchy, and then they tried to sell me their new version for 200 bucks more. The communication was poor and their customer service didn't handle it well. Definitely not going back.
Received the wrong part in my order. I ended up having to go to the dealership and order the correct one myself. When I reached out to customer service about it, they had me fill out paperwork and send photos of what I needed along with part numbers. Even though I explained I'd already purchased the right part from the dealer, they kept asking for the same information over and over. Getting responses was like pulling teeth, and I had to send multiple emails before anyone really helped me.
Really let down by the carbon fiber front lip I got for my 370Z. I spent over 800 dollars on this thinking I'd get a quality product that would fit perfectly, but it arrived way too wide on both sides compared to my factory bumper. There's no way to install it without major modifications. I sent detailed photos and videos showing exactly where the problem was, but the company won't take responsibility or even acknowledge what I'm showing them. As someone who's bought from them before, I trusted the brand and this has seriously hurt my confidence in them. Selling something defective at that price point and then refusing to make it right is really disappointing. This needs to be fixed.
Nick really nailed it on the customer service side. He answered every question I had and built my entire order right there on the phone with me. That positive, can-do attitude is what keeps me coming back year after year. Their whole sales and tech team operates with that same mentality.
Own a 370z and have had nothing but trouble with their products. I've purchased two different CSC delete kits from them and both failed within a year. Their marketing does a good job hyping up the new stuff while sweeping the old failures under the rug. I can't recommend them at all. The quality just isn't there.
Ordered parts a while back and they still haven't shipped. I called several days ago to follow up and ask them to send at least some of what I ordered, but I haven't gotten any shipping information or any explanation for why everything is taking so long. Still waiting with no updates.
I've spent over a thousand dollars with Z1 and honestly none of it has gone well. Got a plenum spacer that required redoing the bolt holes because they weren't in the right spots. Then I bought a foglight kit and installed it on my truck. Two days later I drove through some light rain and the passenger side light was completely fogged up inside with condensation. When I told Z1 about it, they said it's normal and would dry out in a couple days. That didn't make sense to me since the driver's side wasn't fogged up at all despite being in the same rain. Well, it never cleared up after a week, so I had to pop the bulb out and dry it with a hair dryer myself. I asked them to replace the housing on that side since the seal is obviously bad. They turned me down and told me I'd have to go through a Nissan dealer for a warranty claim. All of this happened within their 30-day window too, so they should have honored it. Won't be giving them my business again.
