What Shoppers Say About Bearbottom Clothing
Bearbottom Clothing receives polarized feedback, with shoppers divided between strong satisfaction and significant frustration. Those who rate the store highly praise the quality and fit of the clothing itself, along with responsive and accommodating customer service that resolves issues without charging extra fees. However, a substantial portion of reviewers report serious problems: items arriving damaged, sizing that does not match website descriptions, and controversial return policies that include handling fees, restocking charges, and blocks on returns. Several shoppers also note that the company appears to scrutinize return patterns and may restrict customers after multiple returns, which many view as restrictive for a typical online clothing retailer.
The core complaint centers on the gap between product presentation and reality, combined with return policies that penalize customers when items do not meet expectations. While some customers successfully receive replacements or refunds through responsive support, others encounter fees, obstacles, and suspicious questioning about their purchase history. The inconsistent experience suggests that outcomes may depend heavily on how customer service representatives handle individual cases rather than clear, standardized policies.

Sorted by: Most recentOrdered a large men's tank and it arrived with a black stain mark on it. Asked for a refund and they hit me with a $7 handling fee. Not worth the hassle for a shirt that doesn't even fit that great.
The items themselves are fine, but the fit is completely different from what shows up on their website. If something doesn't work, they make you either pay extra for a return or do an exchange instead. Pretty frustrating when you think about it. Don't get fooled by their advertising.
Grabbed another pair of shorts from Bear Bottom since I've loved their stuff before. This time though, the shorts started pilling up pretty quick. Reached out to their support team and they took care of me right away - no questions asked, no extra fees involved. They were upfront about when I could expect my replacement too.
Don't trust this company with repeat purchases. My return got blocked initially, and when I contacted customer service asking why, they questioned how many times I'd returned items before. I've bought from them multiple times and returned a few things here and there - totally normal for an online clothing retailer. After I showed them their own return policy, they suddenly claimed it was a system glitch (which makes no sense) and pretended they never had an issue with my return. This company clearly doesn't know how to treat customers who come back. I'd stay away if I were you.
I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience because I think it really matters for people shopping around. Got my first pair of pants and they were awesome - great fit, looked sharp, really solid construction. Then unfortunately a local tailor completely destroyed them, which was totally on me. I just emailed Bearbottom to explain what happened, not expecting anything. What came back absolutely blew me away with how good their customer service is. Even without a phone line available, their email responses were incredibly fast and actually helpful. The whole team felt like they genuinely cared, not just going through the motions. They made ordering a replacement easy, checked in with me throughout the process, and turned what could've been annoying into something that actually made me trust the brand more. When my new order showed up a couple days later, I was amazed again. Everything fits perfectly, the quality is genuinely impressive - these clothes are really well made. This brand is clearly doing things right. The products are solid, they respond quickly, and they actually care about customers. Worth the money.
Pretty basic shorts. The fabric ended up being heavier weight than what I thought it would be, but they're decent enough for casual walks and everyday wear.
