DaySpring Reviews
What Shoppers Say About DaySpring
DaySpring receives highly polarized feedback, with the majority of shoppers reporting serious problems. Common complaints center on poor customer service experiences, including unresponsive support staff, shipping failures (items missing from orders despite paying for expedited delivery), and restrictive return policies that do not honor customer requests within stated timeframes. Several reviewers also raised concerns about sourcing practices and difficulty with order cancellation. The small number of positive reviews praise specific products, such as the perpetual inspiration calendar, for quality, attractive design, and reliable shipping.
The retailer's 2.0 out of 5 rating from 8 shoppers reflects fundamental service issues that extend beyond individual product quality. Shoppers consistently report feeling unsupported when disputes arise, with returns rejected and refunds withheld. While some customers appreciate DaySpring's inspirational product offerings, the negative experiences with order fulfillment, customer service responsiveness, and return handling appear to outweigh product satisfaction for most recent reviewers.

Sorted by: Most recentHad a terrible experience with their customer service team. The prices seem really marked up compared to what you can find at other retailers and online. I'd suggest checking competitors like Amazon to compare costs. They also wouldn't let me cancel my order once I placed it, claiming the merchandise was in their warehouse somewhere in a storage bin and they couldn't pull it out to look at.
Absolutely awful customer service. I paid forty bucks for overnight shipping and when my package showed up the next day, half my items were missing. I called and they said they'd overnight the rest to me, but here we are five days after I ordered and still waiting. When I asked for a shipping refund since I didn't actually get everything overnight like I paid for, they told me no because I did receive part of my order. I can't believe this. The items I'm still waiting on matter most to me, my Bible! This is unacceptable.
I'm obsessed with the perpetual inspiration calendar! It arrived quickly and was packed really well, exactly as advertised. It sits on my desk at work and updating it each morning is my favorite part of arriving to the office. My coworkers get a kick out of it too. Starting each day with something uplifting, colorful, and inspirational has really helped me stay focused on my goals. What sets this calendar apart is the meaningful and thoughtful quotes on most days rather than the bland affirmations you see everywhere else. A handful of days have activity ideas instead of quotes and some are just okay, but most days have absolutely excellent quotes. Plus since it's perpetual with just date numbers instead of weekday names, you can use it year after year. Wishing everyone a wonderful new year!
I'm disappointed that DaySpring sources their greeting cards and holiday items from China, especially given concerns about religious freedom in that country. I won't be purchasing from them going forward based on this.
I was let go in February after working there for nearly three decades with zero explanation given. When I brought up some concerns about paperwork irregularities, I was fired just two days later and instructed to stay off the premises. I have significant personal property on the property and I'm pursuing legal action with my attorney.
I bought something that I returned several months later, but it was just over the thirty day window so they rejected my return request. What's worse is they kept both my money and the merchandise. Not only did they refuse the refund but they're holding onto the returned items too. For a company that talks about Christian values, this isn't the kind of treatment I'd expect. Very disappointed.
I ordered a birthday present for someone using PayPal and found out later there was no option to include a gift message with that payment method. My order went through without letting me fix it first. I caught the problem right away and contacted them once they opened, but they said it was already packed and shipping out even though it had only been a couple hours. They wouldn't help me add the gift message, so now the recipient won't know who it's from. I'm really let down by how they handled this. It doesn't make sense that they accept PayPal but don't give you the same options you'd get with other payment types. I won't be ordering from them again.
