H2O Wireless Reviews
What Shoppers Say About H2O Wireless
H2O Wireless receives polarized feedback, with shoppers split between those satisfied with affordable plans and those frustrated by customer service failures. Long-term customers praise the $20 monthly plan offering unlimited calls and texts with adequate data for light users, and some report solid coverage. However, a significant portion of recent reviewers report serious problems including billing errors, inability to reach customer service, failed number ports with no resolution, unreceived shipments without refunds, and unexplained account balance deductions. Multiple shoppers describe the customer service experience as nearly impossible to navigate, with representatives unable or unwilling to resolve issues.
The consensus among dissatisfied customers is that H2O Wireless functions adequately if you never need to contact them, but attempting to resolve problems or make account changes often results in frustration and unresolved issues. Those considering the service should be aware that interactions with customer support appear unreliable, and billing discrepancies may be difficult to correct.

Sorted by: Most recentOnce great, now it's terrible. Used them for a decade without issues on my personal line. But whatever you do, don't try to port a number using one of their promotions! They shipped me an AT&T phone that kept complaining about the SIM card. Then it turns out they had zero record of the port I needed for the promo. Total incompetence.
H2O is the worst mobile company I've ever used and they're basically running a con. They charged me double one month and when I called about it, they said they couldn't refund it but would credit the next month instead, which makes zero sense. They're thieves and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.
Been with them for a long time now. Coverage is solid. Customer service is pretty hit or miss though. Right now their yearly plans are the best prices I can find anywhere. Whether a change goes smoothly or turns into a hassle is basically a coin flip. As long as you don't need to call them, you'll be fine. Haven't contacted them in three or four years myself. Tried setting up a new line for my kid today and their site got stuck on the area code screen. Just kept spinning. Tried a couple different browsers, same problem. Called and waited five minutes, then heard a message saying no agents were online and got disconnected.
After using H2O for seven years with their $20 monthly plan, I've decided to switch to a different carrier for family service. The $20 option has unlimited calls and texts plus enough data to get me through when I'm away from WiFi. If you need tons of data, this isn't for you. But for someone who mostly calls and texts, this plan worked perfectly from high school through almost all of college. I've read plenty of complaints about their support team, and while I get that waiting on hold can be annoying, every agent I've talked to has genuinely tried to help. Even when I called to cancel, they were respectful and made sure I could keep my phone number. Check out their other plans and deals if something else fits better, but honestly, if you're looking for something cheap and simple, I'd suggest giving them a shot.
The customer service here is absolutely terrible. As long as you never need to contact them, you might be okay. Unfortunately I've had several problems, including a phone that never showed up and was never refunded. Getting an actual person to help is nearly impossible, and when you do reach someone, they give you a runaround without solving your issue. I've got a problem where my phone number isn't showing properly on my account, and every time I call they insist it's working when it clearly isn't. I'm thinking about calling my credit card company to stop the automatic charges.
Just terrible! With their pay-as-you-go minutes plan, they drain your balance faster than you can blink. I sent four quick text messages and got charged four dollars for it. So I stopped using the phone completely to save what little I had left. When I checked my account balance, I was shocked to see they'd wiped it out and set it to zero. I contacted support and they just told me to use the live chat. I tried but nobody's ever actually there. This is complete fraud and you should avoid it.
Couldn't be happier that I made the switch to H2O! The coverage is fantastic and my bills are way lower than what I used to pay before.
This outfit basically stole $200 from me. Ordered a phone that showed up damaged, so I sent it back. They never refunded me or offered any option to get my money back. Every time I called, they acted like they'd never heard from me before. It's been a nightmare. I lost the money and there's no way to get it back. They got their phone back no problem, and I got nothing but a $200 loss.
This is hands down the worst company and the worst customer support I've ever experienced! I bought one of their SIM cards back in 2017 for a visit and it worked fine. To keep my number, I paid around $10 every three months. Over time I built up a $240 balance. When I visited again last December, I tried using that SIM card and my saved balance, but I couldn't make or receive calls. I called support and they said my SIM was too old and needed replacing, or maybe my phone settings were wrong. We troubleshot multiple times but nothing worked. They even wanted me to factory reset my phone knowing I'd lose everything! When I asked for a refund, they said no. I asked in their chat for a replacement SIM, new number, and my balance transferred over, and they refused again. Emails never got responses. This is criminal stuff. Do not ever give this company your money.
