I reserved a hotel room at Nomade in Tulum, Mexico through their site two months before my trip. The payment processed fine and I got a confirmation. Then, three weeks out from my travel date, I got a cancellation notice straight from the hotel itself, which I never asked for. They said I'd be moved into a tent instead of the Garden suite I paid for unless I forked over an extra $400 for a different room. I reached out to the booking site and they basically blamed the hotel, even though they're the ones who set up the original booking and took my money. They didn't do anything to get my funds back or save my reservation. All they offered was a credit to use on their platform. I'm done with them. Can't trust a company like that. Same goes for that hotel in Tulum. When you're running a business, trust matters above everything, and both of these places have completely lost mine.
