What Shoppers Say About dimebeautyco.com
Dimebeautyco.com receives deeply polarized reviews, rated 1.9 out of 5 by 15 shoppers. The overwhelming majority of reviewers report severe customer service failures, including unresponsive chat systems, unanswered emails, lack of phone support, and unauthorized subscription charges without advance notice. Multiple shoppers describe lost money, disputed charges, and inability to reach the company to resolve order or product issues. A small segment of satisfied customers praise specific products, particularly the hypoallergenic mascara and Volume Mascara formulas, though even positive reviewers note quality control problems such as clumpy formula after minimal use.
The core complaint pattern centers on operational dysfunction rather than product quality alone. Shoppers report charged accounts with no order record, broken items upon arrival with no recourse, and subscription systems that process and ship without customer communication or ability to modify orders beforehand. While a minority of reviewers express genuine product satisfaction, the pervasive theme across negative reviews is that the company does not respond to customer inquiries through any available channel, leaving buyers without resolution or refund options.

Sorted by: Most recentTheir subscription system is totally opaque. With most subscriptions you get a heads up before they ship and you can make changes if you want. Not here. I just got an email saying my order was processing with no warning whatsoever. I immediately went online trying to cancel and got nowhere. I emailed them but who knows when they'll reply. There's no phone number to call (probably by design), and they mention a live chat option on the website but I couldn't find it anywhere. Really poor customer service overall. The perfume is nice but this whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
Their Volume Mascara is honestly the best I've found in decades, BUT every single tube has an internal issue after just a few uses where the formula comes out clumpy and globbed on the wand, making it basically unwearable. I've gone through at least five tubes over many months thinking the next one will be better, but they never are. This is a serious quality control problem that needs fixing. When it does work, it's an amazing product, but that only lasts a few applications before it breaks down.
Ordered on December 4th and the money was charged to my account but the company has no record of my order. I tried their chat multiple times and no one ever shows up. I've emailed with no response. There's no phone number to call. I have no products and lost a lot of money. Now I have to dispute the charge with my bank. What a joke.
Horrible customer service and a shady operation underneath all their supposed wholesomeness. Honestly it's made me question whether their products are even safe. They won't take responsibility for being sketchy or for shipping products without customer notification. When problems happen they just refuse to work with you to fix anything.
Their customer service is absolutely awful. I've sent multiple emails and used their website chat feature with zero response. When you're dropping $90 on a high-end perfume, you expect it to actually work properly. I bought two bottles as Christmas gifts because I genuinely love the product itself, but one arrived completely broken and won't even pump. The company never reached out, and at this point I won't get a replacement in time for the holidays. I'm out $90 with nothing to show for it. Find another company that actually values their customers.
Great hypoallergenic option. After having my baby I developed an allergy to something in regular mascaras. I'd been fine with the same brand forever but suddenly got contact dermatitis on my eyelids. Tried another mascara with the same reaction. I ordered two hypoallergenic mascaras, one from here and one from a Scandinavian brand. The one from here is the first one I haven't reacted to, so I'm really happy with it. The Scandinavian one arrived first and I had a reaction. Ordered late July and received early August, which is pretty good considering it's coming from across the ocean. I got their Volume Mascara and it works great. The packaging is also surprisingly luxurious and heavy, feels fancier than actual high-end brands. Very impressed overall.
Customer service here is absolutely terrible. You can only reach someone through chat and it takes forever to get a response. I canceled my subscription to their Dewy Cream and then discovered another account had been opened under my email address using a different name. My card got charged for it. The products themselves are fine but the service is HORRIBLE. I feel like I was scammed and I'm canceling my card. I never created that second account. The name used isn't even on my credit card and the email was wrong, so I wouldn't have gotten notification anyway. I've spent a significant amount of money with them over time, so there's no reason I'd secretly open another account. They still can't prove I set up a second account under a name I don't use.
This company is a total rip-off. They keep your payment info saved and charge you $1.32 each month. The amount is so small that most people won't bother fighting it, but it's definitely a scam.
Placed my order May 30th and here we are on June 9th with no updates. The tracking shows it's been sitting near my delivery address for several days. Customer service won't respond. Not ordering from them again. This place is a mess.
Worst customer service experience I've ever had. The live chat took over two hours and they just kept repeating the same unhelpful generic lines without actually solving anything. It was a complete waste of time and incredibly annoying. They don't respond to emails either, only chat. One more thing - their tinted sunscreen doesn't have shade names printed on the bottles, so you can't tell which shade you have when you want to reorder. Their exchange process is also super unclear with zero explanation of how it actually works. The company really needs to get their act together.
