You have to look at it the right way to see it, but when you do, it actually catches your fingernail. That means it's definitely not just a surface issue - it's an actual chip. I reached out asking for either a replacement or my money back. Black Rock Grill said their quality team looked at the pictures and determined it was superficial damage. But a chip that catches your fingernail is not superficial - not by any stretch - which makes me wonder if they even looked at the photos or if a quality team exists at all. They market this board as durable, food-safe, hygienic, and having a uniform surface. A chip straight up contradicts all of that. I'm handling this through the Consumer Rights Act and I'm not backing down until I get a proper replacement.
Bought cast iron skillets and heat-resistant gloves, and both items arrived defective. The gloves are promoted as essential gear that can handle temperatures up to 500 degrees - they even show them being waved over flames on their social media - but when I used them in a 250 degree oven, they burned through almost instantly. They told me they're basically the same as regular oven mitts, which contradicts what their site actually advertises. As for the skillets, I only used one of the two and the other wasn't touched at all, yet both developed rust after just a single use. Their answer was to blame me and tell me to clean them. That shouldn't happen brand new, and it's honestly a food safety concern. Their customer support has been terrible - responses take forever or don't come at all. They initially said they'd replace the gloves, then changed their tune and said they needed to test them first. With the skillets, they point-blank refused any refund since they were used, even though I sent pictures and they promised to activate a warranty claim to test them. They also won't cover return shipping even though both products are clearly defective.
Ordered a white charcoal stone for my grill but they shipped me a black one instead. I've been emailing them politely for three days explaining the mix-up and offering to return it, but they keep refusing. They won't pay for return shipping and they're being stubborn about the cardboard box condition. The bottom line is they won't swap it out or give me a refund. I won't be ordering from them ever again.
Left a negative review back in 2023 and figured I'd give these folks another shot to make things right. Unfortunately they didn't deliver the second time around. I signed up for their 10% subscriber discount but after exchanging some not-so-friendly emails with them, they're telling me I don't qualify. Their reasoning? I've ordered from them before - which is the exact same order they failed to deliver that led to my original bad review. It's pretty ridiculous.
Really happy with this BBQ brush set. The main brush feels solid in your hand with quality bristles that cut through burnt-on grime without any trouble. The scraper component works great for breaking up stubborn buildup. The smaller brush that comes along is ideal for getting into tight spots and around the burners. Shipping was quick and everything came packaged nicely. If you want to keep your grill in top shape, this is the brush to buy. Would definitely suggest it.
This might be one of the best companies I've ever bought from. I messaged them through their chat needing my new Effeuno pizza oven delivered on a Saturday, which isn't part of their regular service. They went above and beyond to help out and got my oven to me Saturday morning with plenty of time to get everything set up and start cooking that evening. Absolutely recommend them.
Grabbed some stone sets, gloves, and steak knives from Blackrock as a birthday gift for my dad - he's tough to shop for since he's really into cooking.
