What Shoppers Say About Happyearthapparel
Happy Earth Apparel draws strong criticism for quality control and customer service issues. Multiple reviewers report seam failures within a year of light use, poor stitching choices that compromise function (such as non-stretch seams on workout pants), and inconsistent sizing. The most significant complaint involves unresponsive customer support: shoppers describe ignored emails regarding returns, missed return windows, cancelled orders without recourse, and controversial return policies that charge restocking fees plus return shipping costs. One positive review praised soft organic cotton, Fair Trade practices, and responsive service from a staff member named Daniel, suggesting the brand's promise does not consistently match execution.
At 2.0 out of 5 based on 8 reviews, Happy Earth Apparel appears to struggle with fulfilling its eco-friendly positioning. While the brand's materials and ethical sourcing appeal to some customers, quality durability and reliable customer service remain significant pain points. The low rating reflects that most shoppers do not feel their investment is justified given the construction failures and difficulty obtaining support when problems arise.

Sorted by: Most recentThis is a quality issue I keep seeing with these eco-friendly clothing places. They use the wrong stitching techniques constantly. These workout pants had a non-stretch stitch along the hip area, which is a terrible choice for gym clothes that get sweaty. The fabric clung to my skin more when damp, making them harder to pull off. Even though they were baggy on me to begin with, I ripped the stitch the first time I tried to take them off. Totally unacceptable.
I was really into this brand at first, but after getting zero response to my complaint, I'm done shopping there. Both complete outfits started coming apart at the seams within a year, even though I only wear them about once a week. For the price tag on these items, I expected way better quality and customer service. Pretty disappointed.
Awful customer service and super sketchy operation. I missed their return deadline by a single day and reached out immediately, but they've ignored all my emails. The sizing ran strange too - picked up items for myself and my parents and nothing fit right. Still trying to get ahold of someone. Might end up calling my credit card company to dispute this. For a place that relies on online shopping where you have to fit things at home, their customer service is inexcusable.
Had a rough go with this site. Ordered a sweatshirt and paid for it, then they sent an email with a tracking number saying it was on the way. Right before the holidays, they straight up cancelled it. Tried reaching out and got told basically tough luck, buy something else instead. Not going back because the stuff costs too much anyway and their customer support is nonexistent. Any real business would try to make something like that right.
Absolutely horrible customer service. They actually charge you a restocking fee when you return clothes on top of making you pay for return shipping. For an online clothing retailer, this is completely ridiculous.
Got a matching set with leggings and a top. The leggings came in a slightly different shade, so I reached out to the company and Daniel was super responsive and helpful. Both pieces are really soft and stretchy considering they're organic cotton, plus they're made using Fair Trade practices. Definitely going to order from them again.
Two stars mainly because of their expensive return process. The leggings themselves might've earned three stars, but not at fifty-four dollars a pair. When companies charge that much, they typically cover return shipping or offer exchanges. Not these guys. They tack on a three dollar restocking charge per item plus you have to buy your own shipping label for around ten bucks. The leggings fit loose around the legs and seat area anyway, more like loungewear than workout gear. The waistband is snug but it's a thin band, not the wider style most athletic leggings have nowadays. On the plus side, they're not transparent.
Shopping here is an absolute hassle. They seem to make one piece at a time, so anything decent is sold out the second you see it. Plus the website is a total maze to navigate. Items won't show up in normal browsing but pop up in search. The filter system is broken - you still have to scroll through everything even after filtering. And if a single size is out of stock, the whole product shows as unavailable even if other sizes you want are still there. The whole thing makes it basically impossible to shop. By the time you finally find what you're looking for, it's gone anyway.
