- Visit vans.com and browse shoes, clothing, or accessories, then add items to your cart.
- Proceed to checkout and review your order summary on the cart page.
- Look for a field labeled 'Promo Code' or 'Discount Code' and enter your code before payment.
- Apply the code and verify that the discount appears in your order total.
- Complete your payment information and submit your order to finalize the purchase.
Promo Code Not Working? Try This
- The code may have expired; check the offer details to confirm the valid date range.
- Some codes apply only to specific categories or items on sale; verify that your purchase qualifies.
- The code might require a minimum purchase amount; review the terms to see if your order meets the threshold.
- Existing discounts or sale prices may prevent code stacking; try removing sale items and reapplying the code.
- Extra spaces or incorrect capitalization in the code entry can cause rejection; retype it carefully.
- The code may be single-use per account; confirm you have not already redeemed it in a previous order.

Vans Reviews
Vans receives polarized feedback, with shoppers deeply divided on their direct-to-consumer experience. The majority of recent reviewers report significant fulfillment and customer service issues, including wrong items shipped, missing shoes from orders, unexplained order cancellations, and delivery delays. Customers also cite problems with custom shoe orders, including color mismatches and unresponsive customer service departments. A small group of satisfied shoppers praise Vans for responsive chat support and hassle-free refunds when issues are resolved, though these positive experiences appear less common than the complaints.
The most frequently cited problems involve order accuracy and shipping reliability on vans.com. Multiple reviewers describe receiving incomplete orders or incorrect items, with inconsistent refund policies and communication delays. Custom orders emerge as a particular pain point, with customers experiencing color discrepancies and difficulty reaching the customs department. While some shoppers report that Vans ultimately makes things right through refunds or replacements, the process often requires multiple follow-ups and lacks the proactive service recovery that might prevent frustration.
Stay away from their custom options. Their customer service is lacking. I bought two pairs of custom shoes. One showed up in a totally different color than what I selected. I requested a replacement but it got turned down. They said the customs department would email me within three days about the replacement, but nothing came for over a week. I had to call back just to find out the customs team rejected it without any explanation. They offered a refund or a 10 percent off code as an alternative. The lack of communication from them is really frustrating. I do like my Vans, but at this point I'm thinking about switching to a different brand. I'm not ordering custom Vans from them again.
Hard to believe they stay in business. First they messed up a delivery on an order that was literally seven miles away. Then they randomly cancelled my next order without any explanation even though I had already gotten a confirmation. Meanwhile I just ordered from Converse and had zero problems. Converse is clearly the better choice. I used to keep a few pairs of each brand in different styles for different occasions and even picked up their winter shoes, but after this disaster I'm done with Vans.
Absolutely terrible. I really like their shoes but ordering straight from their website is awful. Two orders and both went wrong. First time a shoe was missing, which they at least refunded. Second time again a shoe didn't show up, and there was something I never ordered in there instead. They said no refund because their investigation supposedly proved everything was delivered. Would be interesting to actually see what their investigation showed and if their warehouse counts are even accurate! Their products are nice but ordering from them is just headaches and they make you feel like you're lying.
Excellent customer service recovery, will definitely order again. Got in touch with Vans about some shoes that seemed defective after a couple months. Did a quick online chat where they asked for photos via email, then they offered a complete refund right away. Got my money back super fast!
Placed an order in late November and the shipping situation was a mess. I had to call repeatedly and follow up on where things were. Finally got it on December 8th but the wrong size showed up. When I complained they weren't sympathetic and just said they'd refund me. I asked why they wouldn't just send the right size instead of refunding, but it's been almost a month of back and forth. They collected the package for the return and it's been sitting in their inspection area for what feels like forever. It's late December now and my money still hasn't come back. I've called and emailed constantly and can't get any help. They have the item at their warehouse and all they need to do is process the refund. It's unacceptable. All I want is my money back and to be done with this. They keep saying they're waiting on approval to process the refund, which is ridiculous. My advice is skip ordering from this location altogether.
This company is straight up misleading. I bought patterned sneakers my son was excited about for Christmas. Their site promised delivery by 12/22 if I ordered within 12 hours. Now it's 12/23 and nothing shipped. I tried calling but got stuck talking to an automated system. They told me it's a custom item that takes 3 to 5 weeks, the order can't be canceled, and returns aren't allowed either.
Ignoring legal obligations. I ordered online in late November. Yesterday got a notice that my shipment was at a pickup spot ready to go. Went there today and the carrier said they never dropped anything off. Called them up and they had no clue where it was. Called Vans and they just gave me the same tracking info with no solution. Requested a refund and they refused, saying I need to file a trace with shipping that'll take minimum 48 business hours. These guys should realize that in this region the company selling the item is accountable for getting it to you. I'm getting zero help and no refund. Think twice before buying.
Not respecting customer rights. I placed an order online in late November. Yesterday I got an email from the shipping company saying the box was at a pickup location and ready. I went today but nobody was there. Called the carrier and they said they have no record of it being there, then called Vans and they just repeated the tracking info with no answers. When I asked for a refund they said it's impossible and I have to file an investigation with the shipping company that takes at least two business days. Vans needs to understand that sellers are responsible for deliveries in their region. No refund offered, no answers about where the package is. Be careful before ordering from here.
Still waiting for a refund after two months on items I sent back. Vans admitted the mistake and blamed it on some computer system upgrade. But they refuse to give me a timeline for when I'll actually get my money back. I've called them several times and gotten nowhere. It's honestly ridiculous how they operate.
Ordered board shorts for sixty bucks and had a friends and family discount worth 25 percent off that brought the total down to 35 dollars. Then I checked my PayPal and they charged me the full 60. I contacted them about it and they claimed my discount had expired. I sent them proof from an email I got the day before saying I had 30 days left. I also showed them my order confirmation showing 35 dollars. Their response was that the order was too far along to adjust, the discount should never have been taken off, and I'd have to do a return and rebuy. An email came through saying it shipped anyway. I replied saying I didn't want them if they wouldn't apply the discount back. Then about 7 and a half hours later I got notification it was cancelled. So they could cancel an open order but couldn't just put my discount back. What kind of customer support is that? I'm almost 50, I've been a Vans customer since 1990, and I'm done shopping there for good.
They sent me completely the wrong product. I've emailed multiple times trying to get the situation resolved and get what I actually ordered, but there's been zero response.
Terrible shoe quality. Paid a hundred dollars for MTE Ultra boots. After just a month of light wearing, the top eyelets tore on one shoe and the fabric split on the other. The store wouldn't replace them. Back when Vans was family owned the shoes were solid and built to last. Ever since the corporate buyout years ago it's gone downhill fast.
The sneakers were top notch and they shipped super quick. Support was responsive and helpful whenever I reached out to them!
Excellent customer service experience. I messed up my address on my initial online purchase and never got the package. I reached out to their team and they reshipped everything to the correct location without charging me extra. Really appreciate that, Vans!
