Some folks say the backlit keys are impossible to see during the day, which is technically true, BUT there's an easy fix, just disable the backlight during daytime hours using a function key on the keyboard. Keys become crystal clear then. I had a faulty key that wasn't registering properly on my brand new laptop. I chatted with Dell support and they immediately booked an at-home technician to replace the keyboard with no added cost. The technician needed a second trip to get the right component, but the entire experience was so smooth and professional I'd absolutely recommend them.
