I am really upset with delta and their new prices. How are you going to charge that amount of money for domestic flights and still have a ridiculous amount of layovers? It’s because of you and your greed that I will not fly with delta again. People know for $1500 they can drive so have fun losing money.

Horrible Family Experience - Delta Airlines Shame on you

I generally dont write negative reviews and prefer to deal directly with the business but I would give Delta a negative 5 if I could. I sent the following email to the customer service people after they refused to reimburse us for our expenses and I also shared this feedback with the CEO, Ed Bastian, Head of People, Allison Ausband and Chief Customer Experience Officer, Erik Snell who I have tried to reach multiple times. HI Ed, not such a happy holidays for me and my family after flying your Airline. I have been a CEO a few times and run multiple customer businesses so I hope you and your staff take note of the following email I sent to your customer. Your email address says “we care” – you clearly don’t care about your passengers given your responses below.Did you even bother to look at the numerous text messages and conversations I had with your customer service people about the travel experience that I and my 3 children had because of the horrible service and lack of professionalism of your pilots and crew?You have no idea what we went through because Delta’s terrible service on Dec.20. We were flying on Saturday, Dec 20, 2025 from JFK to RSW, Flight 2320 when 5 mins before your boarding we were told the “pilot has decided not to show up and everyone should run to customer service.:” This is HIGHLY unprofessional and resulted in a mass stampede to the help desk to find an alternative flight. My wife (diamond medallion) spent 2.5 hours on the phone with your help desk finding flights for us to Ft. Meyers so our children could spend time with their grandparents who are both in the hospital.We finally found flights which forced us to be separated. My wife had to fly at 8pm from JFK to Atlanta and had to change planes to RSW arriving at 9:30pm. Keep in mind if YOUR PILOT had decided to show up and do HIS job we would have all arrived at 1:30 pm. I and our kids had to take a taxi – the $62.71 to catch a flight from LGA to PBI at 4pm arriving at 7:30. At 3:15 the crew to this flight decided they didn’t want to work!!!! I don’t think anyone has this luxury – both your pilot and crew deciding they just don’t feel like working that day. We then took off an hour later than scheduled and were forced to take an Uber from PBI to our final destination in Naples. Thus the charge for $288.78 which Delta should reimburse both the taxi and the Uber.This does not include the fact that Delta should compensate us for food needed between flights and other compensation for the problems you and your employees caused US!!!.The fact that I have to repeat all this after spending hours on the phone and on the text chat with your customer service people is so beyond irritating. I am going to escalate this to your head of customer service, your CEO and everyone in your C Suite as well as posting this on every social media site possible.YOU PEOPLE DON’T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO REACH OUT AN APOLOGIZE AND PROACTIVELY PROVIDE COMPENSATION. You are making us do our jobs to pay for these flights and the inconvenience and YOUR JOB!! I am getting angrier and angrier just writing this email.I will also add that we flew Delta for our 25th anniversary to Paris on Delta One and paid full fare in Sept and your flight attendants were SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Fortunately we flew Air France back and the experience was excellent. We are seriously considering not flying Delta anymore and we plan on taking many many more trips around the world with our children for many years. In fact I am writing this email as I comfortably sit on a UNITED AIRLINES flight to Mexico city from RSW because we didn’t have the patience to deal with your unprofessional and subpar customer service.My wife and I flight Delta all the time and my wife is a diamond medallion member.MY VERY STRONG RECOMMEDNAITON IS YOU AT MINIMUM REIMBURSE US FOR OUR EXPENSES AND PROVIDE US WITH COMPENSATION FOR ALL THE PROBLEMS DELTA AND ITS CREW AND PILOTS CAUSED OUR FAMILY. Believe me I will escalate this and also file reports with every oversight and regulatory body and every social media outlet. I am so disgusted with how badly this has been handled.I am starting to post reviews which you can see.

Fly in economy? 2nd class citizen.

They treat people flying economy class as second class citizens. Everybody got snacks during the flight except of those in economy. This kind of inferior treatment of passengers is appalling.

Stay away from Delta

As we were trying to pay for our baggage, the lady was typing the credit card number into the system and then told us she didn’t do it quick enough so we lost our flight. This is all due to the kiosk at Delta not working correctly in the first place. Attended at counter was completely rude. Stay away from Delta Horrible service.

Had to change our flight to a different time

Had to change our flight to a different time coming back to MN from AZ. All the flights were full so we decided to upgrade to firsts class to get seats. We had an absolutely amazing flight. The staff was really engaged and the amenities were top notch. Specifically Steven and Keyle. We had a lot of laughs and I stayed awake the entire flight which I never do. It was that fun. Our pilot was incredible. I was nervous flying into MN with 40 mile an hour crosswinds and bad weather. As a former air force pilot, he landed us so smooth I couldn't even feel the landing gear compress. There is areason delta is my favorite and in my opinion the best!

Disappointed

It has been a while and overlooking is getting really really old. Put customer ahead of business. To expensive of a ticket to get this treatment in return. This action reflects on many other things such as rental car reservations lost. I'll turn in my delta american express card and no longer use your services. Enough is enough.

If I could give them 0 stars I really…

If I could give them 0 stars I really would. Moved my flight which i was supposed to be boarding “due to inclement weather”, yet I’m watching other airlines (jet blue and southwest) land and take off. Delta delayed my flight from 12:30 pm to 11:30pm. 11 HOURS OF MISERY AND MISCOMMUNICATION. A flight to Dallas from LGA is “on-time” while a flight going to VA is delayed. Make that make sense. Better off paying less money with spirit/frontier to receive the same crappy service on the same crappy cramped planes. I don’t recommend using delta.
