Foot Locker Australia receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 20 reviews averaging 1.2 out of 5. The dominant complaints center on order fulfillment failures (orders taking weeks to ship, arriving with wrong items or sizes), refund processing delays (two weeks or longer), and inflexible return and exchange policies that leave customers unable to swap items even during active sales or when merchandise arrives defective. Customers describe unresponsive customer service that offers only refunds without replacement options or compensation for inconvenience, and express frustration with inventory inaccuracies (items marked in stock but then cancelled) and unclear product authenticity. A very small minority of shoppers gave positive ratings, but their feedback is not detailed in available reviews.

Key pain points include the store's refusal to honor sale prices during exchanges, strict return policies that penalize customers for minor tag removal or natural wear from sizing trials, and slow order status updates even after multiple customer contacts. Shoppers report feeling dismissed by customer service representatives who cite technical issues as explanations without offering solutions. The cumulative effect is that reviewers actively warn others away from purchasing at this retailer, citing repeated experiences of paying for items they never received or received incorrectly while facing obstacles to simple remedies.

Ordered through their system, paid right away, sat around for more than two weeks with wrong tracking info, and then got told my order was lost. All they did was issue a refund, no replacement or any kind of compensation or apology, even though I missed out on getting the shoes at that price. Customer service just hides behind technical problems instead of actually fixing things. Not what you expect from a big retailer.

I placed an order for Air Max shoes and got kids sizes shipped to me instead. Now they're saying I can't receive the correct shoes I actually paid for, only a refund minus shipping costs with a two week processing time. The replacement policy is terrible and customer service is even worse. Not worth buying from them.

The return and exchange rules are awful. I bought shoes online during the Boxing Day sale, they arrived and were too tight. The next day I went to the store to exchange for a bigger size. Since the sale had already ended, they charged me full price instead of letting me swap at the same sale price I paid. That's not fair.

I'd give them a zero if I could. Ordered Nikes that showed as in stock, paid and got my purchase confirmation, then two days later it gets cancelled with no stock notification. I asked them to explain and maybe offer something to make up for the inconvenience, but they just didn't care. That's the last time I'm shopping there.

Got some Puma trainers and honestly I'm not sure if they're real. They were supposed to be size 10 US but fit tiny like they're Chinese sized shoes. I asked about exchanging them for a bigger size but they wouldn't budge on it because the tag was off, even though they were brand new and I only tried them on for a few minutes before realizing the sizing was wrong. Now I'm stuck with cheap knockoff trainers that don't fit.

Made a purchase using Afterpay on some shoes. It's been way longer than the five to seven working day estimate they gave, and I've already accounted for the holiday rush. Called them yesterday for an update and they said the status hasn't changed in a week, then told me to call back today for an investigation. When I called today, they said it would take another five days to look into it. They also mentioned refunds can only happen within the first couple days of buying. Really upset and I won't order online from them again. Has anyone else dealt with this and what ended up happening?

Ordered some Nike Jordans and the package arrived with just the left shoe inside. I sent them all the photos they wanted as proof, but they refuse to give me my money back or send the other shoe. What am I supposed to do with a single shoe? Definitely staying away from this store.

Daniel F.Oct 24, 2025

Stay away from ordering new releases here. If you're not reselling them, you won't get your shoes. You buy something and then get told it's suddenly out of stock, yet somehow certain reseller accounts have over 50 in inventory. This place clearly prioritizes quick sales to resellers over regular customers. Their customer care is nonexistent. I'm done with them and would recommend others do the same.

Skip this place! Got a pair of Nike Women's Air Max Plus sneakers that fit half a size smaller than expected. They're still brand new and untouched, but I threw away the packaging thinking they were right. They won't let me return them without the original box, so I'm out $250. Not shopping there again.

Rebecca W.May 4, 2025

Terrible service. I bought two pairs of trainers online and they could only send one. They also refused to refund the delivery charge.

Justin C.Feb 23, 2025

They list items online as in stock and then cancel your order after you've already paid.

Marcus T.Nov 15, 2024

Got some basketball shoes through checkout and completed my purchase, then a few days later the order gets cancelled because supposedly it's out of stock. If it wasn't available, why was it even listed for purchase? Total letdown, I really had my heart set on those shoes. Won't be coming back.

Their website is terrible. You try to shop and spend money and it blocks you if you're using an ad blocker.

Customer service was fine, but the Sydney location claimed they only had 4 pairs of size 8 Nike shoes despite receiving a fresh shipment. I wanted to swap my pair due to manufacturing defects. Every single one of the 4 boxes had horrible quality issues I couldn't overlook. When I tried another style, all 4 had the same problem. I went with a refund. Another customer had the exact same issue which is kind of amusing honestly. It's clear the shift from Vietnamese to Indonesian manufacturing was a bad move. I've returned over 24 pairs for these reasons. I collect them but it's incredibly frustrating finding even one good pair. I really hope Nike looks into how many exchanges and returns are happening because of this. The employee seemed bothered when I asked for another box, which is probably why they said only 4 were in stock. Definitely exploring other options for my next Air Max Plus shoes.

The customer service rep was decent enough, but when I went to the Sydney location, they said they only had 4 pairs of size 8 Nike shoes available even though a shipment just came in. I wanted to exchange my pair since there were manufacturing problems. All 4 boxes had terrible defects so I couldn't accept any of them. I tried another style and all 4 of those had issues too. I ended up asking for a refund instead. Honestly kind of funny because another customer came in with the same complaint. Switching from Vietnamese to Indonesian manufacturing was clearly a mistake. I've returned more than 24 pairs over this problem. I'm a collector but it's nearly impossible finding a quality pair anymore. I really wish something could be done about this since Nike must know how widespread this is. When they said only 4 size 8s were available, I could tell the young employee was frustrated about having to pull more boxes. I'm looking at other options for my next Air Max Plus pair.
