This collar wasn't cheap, so I expected it to handle the abuse a dog puts things through. But within just under six months, the rivets started coming loose and the rubber part cracked right down the middle. Why didn't they use the same durable material as regular dog collars that cost under ten bucks and hold up fine? They won't help with warranty, just pointed me to buy replacement parts. Pretty disappointing.

I got in with them when they first started back in twenty-twenty-one and my pup was new too. Their original collars weren't the best, but I stuck with them because they kept working with me to improve things. Fast forward four years and even though my Belgian Malinois doesn't love wearing it, he knows what it means and it keeps him behaving. When he takes off after a deer or fox, I can find him easily. I'd definitely upgrade to their newer model because I think they've really gotten it right now. If you want to train your dog or keep it in your yard, this is the way to go.

I've owned several generations of Halo collars over the years. Haven't tested other GPS collars so can't compare to those, but the new four and five models are definitely improvements over the older ones. My dogs have been wearing theirs for about an hour after charging overnight. Two are wearing Halo 4 with thirty hours left and one has Halo 5 with thirty-four hours left. There's still a delay between when my dog triggers a notification and when I get alerted, anywhere from immediate to a few minutes. The beacon reliability is hit or miss, so sometimes my dogs get shocked in areas where they've always been safe. Beacons just aren't reliable. Hopefully they'll add fence within fence options and ditch beacons altogether. We stick with them because other GPS collar reviews show similar problems and we need coverage across our full fourteen acres. I'd suggest a GPS collar if you want your dogs to use your whole property.

The Halo five does everything the four does but with way better battery life. The four lasted about twenty hours on a charge while the five gets you forty hours. With the old one I'd forget to charge it and it'd be dead by the next day, but with the five if I space out charging it still has twenty hours left. And when I do plug it in, it charges back up in like half an hour. Plus it's a bit smaller and more compact than the previous model.

Called support twice about the remote beacon. First call was to get the setup explained and the second time the remote stopped working. Both times the folks I talked to were nice, professional, and got my problem sorted immediately. Plus they sent me a replacement remote beacon for free since the original wasn't working. This collar is seriously great!

The customer service was fantastic. Kenny made sure to walk me through everything carefully and made me confident my problem would get taken care of in a reasonable amount of time.

I can't complain about my experience with this collar at all. With my 92 pound German Shorthaired Pointer, it's been super useful both in the yard and out in the woods. Emma on the customer support team is fantastic to work with and really knows the products inside and out. I'd tell anyone to check out Halo.

I'm a total believer in this collar now. It's even better than I thought it would be. We have an eighteen month old beagle that was bred to hunt, and her nose is always working. We tried a remote training collar like the ones we use for our Rottweilers, but quickly learned beagles are way different. We lost him a few times for hours on our property. We were nervous about a GPS collar and the price, but figured we had no choice since we didn't want to keep him on a leash when he has acres to explore. Then we found Halo. Shipping was fast, setup was easy, and the results are absolutely incredible. Seriously, it works that well. Totally worth the money for the peace of mind. We have boundaries saved for both our nine acre and twenty acre properties with zero issues. Thanks Halo!

My pups are protected and secure. We have four dogs living on rural property, and the Halo collars let them roam freely around our land. When wildlife shows up, they get curious and want to investigate, but the collar keeps them within the boundary I set up in the app. I can also see where they are when they're out of sight. We started with one and loved it so much we got them for all four. Highly recommend it.
