What Shoppers Say About aetrex.com
Aetrex.com has deeply polarized shoppers, with most reviews expressing serious frustration about shipping delays and customer service responsiveness. Numerous customers report orders remaining unfulfilled for over a week after payment, unresponsive support teams that provide vague updates and miss promised follow-up windows, and difficulty obtaining order cancellations. A smaller but vocal group of satisfied customers praise the product quality itself, citing exceptional comfort, arch support, and durability for those with high-arched feet, with some owning multiple pairs.
The company's core issue appears to be order fulfillment and communication rather than product design. While enthusiastic product reviews highlight supportive construction and reliable sizing, these positive experiences are significantly undermined by the operational and customer service problems that dominate recent feedback. Shoppers considering a purchase should be aware of documented fulfillment delays and the difficulty in reaching responsive support if issues arise.

Sorted by: Most recentCustomer service at Aetrex basically doesn't exist. I ordered white leather sneakers in May and they ended up being too small. I sent them back for a half size bigger, but those were too big. I've been calling repeatedly trying to get a return label for the second pair, and it's been almost a month with nothing. Called again and was told it would go to the Returns Team who'd call back within 24-48 hours. Never got that call. Called a third time and found out they'd documented multiple calls for this return label but somehow nothing has been done. Now it's supposedly going to the Processing Team with another promise of a 24-48 hour callback. I'm not holding my breath. This is absolutely the worst customer service I've experienced. Tell your friends.
Really let down by the quality. The flip flops literally fell apart after just a few months. For what I paid, they should have lasted way longer than that. When I tried to get them replaced, customer service wouldn't even acknowledge there was a problem. That's frustrating.
Like others have mentioned, the time it takes to process and ship is pretty long. That could be fine if they were upfront about it, but they're not. Their site says 24-48 hours for processing, but it took 5 business days for mine. I selected no rush delivery which should be 3-7 days, and it's already been 8 days with no tracking info for the last four days. There's no estimate for my $400 order. And honestly, if your package gets lost by the carrier, there's basically no way to get it back. I'm not ordering from them again. Even if my shoes do arrive, I'd probably return them, though I'm sure that'll be a nightmare too.
The sales staff at the Aetrex location was some of the worst service I've experienced in years. The employee was extremely rude, unwilling to show me products, and was clearly judging customers based on appearance. Aetrex shoes must sell themselves, because this person certainly wasn't putting in effort. When I visited recently, she was incredibly disrespectful for no reason and refused to even let me look at what I wanted. This wasn't a one-time thing either. The pattern of bad behavior makes me wonder if this is how the company actually wants their staff to act.
This has been the worst company experience I've ever had!! The customer service is terrible, and the reps made me feel like I was the problem. I called about slow shipping and had ordered on a Saturday, so technically the following Friday was just five days in. Got four completely different explanations from different staff members. Eventually they said it shipped, but the tracking has shown it sitting with the carrier for about five days now, still waiting at USPS. Not counting weekends, we're at about ten days already. At this pace, we're looking at maybe 25 days total, possibly 30 if you count the weekends. My doctor specifically suggested this brand. I'll be letting him know to stop recommending them based on what I and others have experienced. If I ever get them, I'll update this, but I'm not hopeful. This whole thing is ridiculously slow for online orders. I run my own shop and if I operated like this, I'd be out of business. Just terrible. I won't recommend them to anyone and I'm telling everyone I know to look elsewhere for orthotics.
The wait times are way longer than they should be. A representative told me it'll take 15 days just to get the shoes, and six of those days are just for processing. These are business days only since they don't ship weekends or holidays, so realistically we're talking 19 calendar days or more. That's not acceptable by today's standards for online shopping. The shoes themselves are comfortable enough, but they're not perfect either. A pair I bought in-store before has a breathing hole by the toe area that's started ripping. Overall, pretty disappointing.
My package has been stuck somewhere since April with no updates or explanation.
I've bought both shoes and orthotic inserts from Aetrex. Following a Denver trip last summer, my feet were in constant pain for weeks and nothing was helping. I experimented with other orthotic products and cushioning supports but they weren't doing anything. Once I switched to Aetrex shoes and inserts, the pain stopped completely. They've been fantastic. I later purchased slip-on sneakers specifically for traveling and airport security, and they worked beautifully for that too. Delivery was quick, and when I needed to exchange a size, the return process was straightforward and the new pair came right away. Their team was really helpful throughout. I'd strongly suggest these to anyone dealing with foot issues. They offer lots of different styles like sandals, sneakers, and flip flops, and they all come with proper arch support. I'm definitely buying more pairs soon!
Got both shoes and inserts from Aetrex and couldn't be happier. After a summer trip to Denver, my feet were killing me for weeks and nothing seemed to help. Tried various other orthotic products but nothing did the trick until I switched to Aetrex. Haven't had foot pain since. I also grabbed some slip-on sneakers for a Mexico trip and wore them through the airport security lines and long terminal walks, which was perfect. Everything shipped fast, and when I needed a different size, returning and getting a replacement was super easy. Their customer service really came through. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. They've got tons of options like sandals, sneakers, and flip flops, all with the orthotics and support you actually need. Planning to grab another pair this summer!
