What Shoppers Say About Amerisleep
Amerisleep receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 11 reviews averaging 1.7 out of 5. The primary complaints center on unreliable shipping and delivery promises, with customers reporting partial orders, extended processing times, and lack of communication from the company. Customer service responsiveness is a significant pain point, with multiple shoppers describing unhelpful or nonexistent support when seeking updates or warranty assistance. One customer also reported fiberglass contamination in their mattress. On the positive side, the few satisfied reviewers praise the actual mattress quality and comfort, with one noting it as the best mattress they have ever owned despite shipping delays.
While product quality appears solid for those who receive undamaged units in good condition, Amerisleep's operational and customer service failures heavily overshadow this strength. Issues with return processing timelines (extending weeks or months), unresponsive warranty handling, and inventory management create a pattern of frustration. Shoppers report difficulty getting concrete information or accountability from the company regarding their orders and issues.

Sorted by: Most recentMy experience with Amerisleep was really let down by poor planning on their end. I ordered based on their 2 to 3 week delivery promise, but only part of my purchase showed up. The bed frame and other items never made it, and nobody would give me a real timeline. After weeks of waiting and barely any updates, I ended up canceling the rest. That meant sleeping on my mattress on the floor for way longer than I planned. They did refund my money eventually, but the whole thing was handled badly. Communication was spotty, they didn't stick to their dates, and there was zero effort to make things right or offer anything for the hassle. Unless you're ready for serious delays and silence from customer service, I'd shop elsewhere.
The mattress started sagging within a year of purchase. I figured the warranty would take care of it, but I was wrong. I've reached out multiple times through different channels - email, phone, even the sales team - and haven't gotten a response from anyone. Really disappointing.
The shipping was slower than expected and the tracking info wasn't great - it said processing for over a week, then took another week to arrive. The box showed some damage but thankfully the mattress inside was fine. This thing is heavy! Got the king size and it's legitimately huge. But here's what matters - best mattress I've ever slept on. I'm a side sleeper with shoulder issues and need something soft but still supportive. This nails it. You don't sink in with no support, and it's got great motion isolation. Plus the bed stays cool. I've done tons of research and tried other mattresses claiming to be soft, but this one takes it. You can definitely have fun in it too - it's soft as a cloud but holds up where it counts.
The customer service here is unacceptable. Every time you ask for an update, you get the same unhelpful response: 'our warehouse team is working on it.' No details, no one taking responsibility, no actual information. Over 10 days now and my mattress still hasn't shipped. I've opened tickets, followed up repeatedly, and gotten nothing but the runaround. Can't believe a company operates this way and thinks it's fine to leave customers hanging with zero explanation. I'm prepared to file a complaint if this gets resolved this way. This is completely unacceptable.
The price was way too high for what you get. When I took the cover off to wash it, I found fiberglass all through the mattress. Now it's everywhere - my room, my bedding, my clothes. So frustrated.
I wish I had better things to say about Amerisleep, but my return experience was a nightmare. What should've been simple turned into waiting nearly two months for my money back. Started the return on January 17th and did everything they asked - set up the removal, sent in paperwork, the whole process. They confirmed it was done and approved by February 6th, saying refunds take about a week. Wrong. Weeks dragged on and I kept following up. Nothing. Finally got my money back on March 10th - almost two months later. It felt like they were sitting on my cash on purpose after they already had the mattress back. The whole accounting side of things was slow and unresponsive. Felt like I had to battle just to get my own money returned. Totally unnecessary.
Our mattress sagged in under a year and completely lost its motion isolation (we have a king). The warranty turned out to be worthless and when we contacted customer service they asked for a bunch of documentation then ghosted us. Don't waste your money here.
One of the worst mattress companies I've dealt with. Bought their top of the line mattress and it got damaged within the first month. Tried calling customer support and nobody picked up. Even attempted to reach out to the owners directly with no luck. Complete waste of money. Would tell anyone to stay away.
Purchased their platform bed and immediately noticed a strong chemical odor. Turns out what was described as hardwood is actually plywood with glue. The smell wouldn't go away. I contacted the manufacturer directly and they confirmed it was from the plywood and possibly a fabric treatment. The product description made it sound like solid slats. We set it up in a guest room but guests wouldn't stay because of the odor. When I asked for a refund, they only offered a $50 credit toward something else. Not impressed with how they handle customer concerns.
