Apple Vacations Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Apple Vacations
Apple Vacations receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from customers, with 1.5 out of 5 based on 24 reviews. The most common complaints involve refund delays (customers waiting over a month without clarity on when money will be returned), poor customer support that lacks problem-solving ability, unresponsive follow-up from representatives, and inability to assist with flight changes or modifications. Additional serious concerns include customers being charged significantly higher rates for replacement flights after cancellations, lack of communication about property issues before arrival, and inadequate resort safety and management oversight for incidents occurring during stays.
Very few customers report satisfaction with Apple Vacations. The rare positive experiences appear minimal compared to the volume of complaints about refunds, support responsiveness, pricing practices, and resort quality control. Shoppers consistently indicate they would not use the company again and recommend booking directly with airlines and hotels to maintain control over changes and have recourse if problems arise.

Sorted by: Most recentWe gave our family vacation business to this company and felt completely deceived. The resort they booked us at in Montego Bay turned out to be a real disappointment. Several of our friends warned us not to use them, and we wish we'd listened. We definitely won't be returning.
This company is one big scam. Changing my hotel took five hours on the phone and I got hung up on multiple times, ending up with no hotel booked but they kept my money anyway. Their rates are actually higher than what you'd pay through other booking sites. I thought having a travel agent would protect me but nope. Stay away from them entirely. Now I have my flights but no place to stay and I can't get anyone on the phone to actually book a hotel for me.
If I could give them a zero I absolutely would. Their customer service is awful. My flight was cancelled due to bad weather, which wasn't anyone's fault obviously. I called to see what options existed for the day I lost of my vacation. I talked to at least seven different people across multiple calls. Every time I called I was on hold for more than an hour. Several times I got disconnected. Each representative told me something different and I basically spent my whole day on the phone. Even though they said they'd work it out with the hotel, nothing was taken care of when we got there. It was the most stressful vacation I've had. I won't recommend them even though I've used them before. Their customer service has really gone downhill. Losing a day from a five day vacation is huge and they didn't seem to get that.
The booking website is really outdated. I couldn't add travel insurance for everyone in our party, it only let me insure one person per room. When I tried changing dates for the people without insurance because of illness my family lost all their money. Getting anyone on the phone took at least an hour every single time. You're better off booking the flight and hotel separately and avoiding the twenty to thirty percent markup they add. The only real thing they provide is ground transport to the resort which you can arrange yourself much cheaper.
I tried reaching out twice during my trip and got the same runaround both times. They sent an automated email confirming receipt but never got back to me. Their charter partner was slow to get people boarded both ways, with waits exceeding an hour on departure and over two hours on return. The boarding counter looked understaffed. Text support with them wasn't helpful either, just canned messages that didn't actually address my questions. I won't book with them next time even though they had the nonstop route I wanted.
I attempted to get in touch with this company twice while traveling. They sent a quick email saying they got my message but never actually responded. They use Swift Air for their charter flights. On the way out I waited over an hour in line just to get my boarding pass and on the return it was more than two hours. Their counter staff was stretched way too thin. The text chat support was pretty disappointing too with responses that felt like templates and never really answered what I was asking. I won't go with them again. The only reason I did this time was they offered a nonstop flight.
Book directly on your own and skip this company entirely. We had a group trip to Mexico for a wedding and when an ice storm threatened our connecting flight out of Dallas just days before departure, we wanted to leave early. Since everything had to go through this travel agency and they only operate regular business hours during the week, we couldn't make the change. The office opened at 9 AM on Monday, which was exactly when our rebooked flight left. We ended up stuck with the original plan and faced multiple flight delays and cancellations that day at the airport with no support.
Really let down by this company. We booked a ten day Mexico trip for three adults and called to request two beds and a ground floor room because I'm a senior with mobility challenges. When we got to the hotel we were told this company never passed along our requests. I tried talking to their representative at the property but he said he only sells activities and doesn't handle problems. I had to call the company back and got complete silence. Our friends also booked through them and faced the same exact problem. They seem totally unconcerned once you've already paid. Not like they used to be. I honestly don't know if I'd book with them again.
If there was a zero star option I'd use it. My sister made a reservation through them and I've been trying to pay my portion five times with my credit card but it keeps declining. I called their customer service line five different times and each hold lasted over an hour. On my last attempt I got transferred to a manager and the call just dropped. This whole thing is ridiculous and honestly makes me nervous about even going on this trip.
Getting in touch with this company was a bad move. They never answer when you call back even after they promise to. Their phone support is really poor with connection issues and voice quality problems on the rare occasions they do pick up. Friends have told me that when someone finally does answer they ask a million questions and then have to transfer you to someone else anyway.
