ASTRO Gaming Reviews
What Shoppers Say About ASTRO Gaming
ASTRO Gaming headsets receive overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with the majority citing severe technical and reliability issues. Reviewers consistently report persistent problems including firmware updates that corrupt settings, wireless connection failures, microphone malfunctions, and hardware failures shortly after warranty expiration. Customers express frustration with premium pricing paired with poor build quality and inadequate customer support, with several noting that support is unresponsive or unhelpful when issues arise. Some also report problematic order fulfillment and delayed shipping.
A small percentage of shoppers give positive ratings, suggesting some customers have had better experiences, though their specific feedback is not detailed in available reviews. The stark divide in ratings indicates that product quality and customer service experiences vary significantly, or that satisfied customers are far less likely to leave reviews compared to those with problems.

Sorted by: Most recentThis headset is legitimately terrible. Every firmware update wipes everything you've stored, the connection dies, updates fail to go through, and then you're stuck in this loop where you can't even use the headset without updating. It's honestly the worst wireless headset I've ever owned in my life. You'd be better off throwing your money away than buying this thing.
Don't buy these, they're the worst headphones out there. You'll have problems with them basically every day you use them. The mic won't work like 80 percent of the time when you turn them on, and it'll just randomly stop functioning.
I won't be ordering from Astro Gaming again, plain and simple. I put in a custom headset order and was told to expect it within a month. A month passes and nothing shows up, so I email asking what's going on. They respond saying another month before shipping. I push back asking for my money back, and they keep flip flopping on whether they can even do that. I figured I'd just wait it out at that point. Two months later and my order is still sitting there, so I ask for an update again. Before they even answer my question, I get a notification that the order was cancelled out of nowhere with zero explanation. The way they handled this whole thing was beyond unprofessional.
These headsets might look impressive on the surface but once your warranty expires they fall apart and you're stuck because customer support won't help. For the premium price tag I paid, that's completely unacceptable. I'm actually looking into filing a small claims case at this point. The quality itself is poor and the customer service is even worse. There are tons of videos online showing the same problems I'm having, but all the reviews here stay locked so you can't tell the real story. Save yourself and stay away from this brand.
I've owned a pair of A50s for just over two years and they worked great until the base station died completely. That's where Astro really drops the ball. Their customer support in my region is basically nonexistent. I got one response from headquarters saying someone would reach out, but that never happened. Now I've got an expensive brick that won't do anything. These kinds of products should last longer, and when they don't, the company should actually be there to help. I won't touch their stuff again.
Astro Gaming has hands down the worst customer service I've run into anywhere. Their support team apparently doesn't exist because they never reply to emails, and sometimes the website itself won't even let you send a message due to bugs. Make sure you really think before placing an order here.
The headset itself is great, but man their customer support is frustrating. My dock arrived damaged so I reached out, and while they did replace it, the support team just told me to contact a shipping company directly without actually giving me any contact information. My package got sent back to them because I had no way to track it. So now they have my money and my dock while I'm stuck with a headset I can't use. This back and forth has been going on since mid August. Update from late September: they said they'd refund me, which should take up to two weeks. Maybe they're not completely terrible? Update from late October: Still no refund and no dock back, so my headset is basically useless. Really disappointed. Final update from late October: Just got the replacement dock today and it works perfectly. Changing my rating to a three since at least that got resolved.
The Astro A50 is literally the worst headset I've ever had. Nothing but constant problems. For what I spent on these, the software quality is inexcusable and the update issues are endless. You could grab any headset from a big box store and have a better experience. I'm really let down by this purchase.
Bought an A40 a few years back and even though I treated it super carefully, it literally broke apart in my hands. Got talked into buying the A50 later because people said they fixed all the issues. Didn't even make it eight months before the cable ripped the USB port right off the dock when I moved it. I'm done with Astro products completely. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone because they're just not worth it.
