What Shoppers Say About Ben Sherman UK
Ben Sherman UK is rated 1.7 out of 5 by 19 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing severe dissatisfaction. Reviewers report consistent and serious problems with customer service, including unresponsive support staff who do not answer emails or phone calls, unprocessed refunds that take weeks or months to complete, orders that are cancelled without explanation despite showing as available, and shipped items that never arrive or are listed as in-stock when they are actually out of stock. Multiple customers report having to escalate complaints to payment providers to recover their money after Ben Sherman failed to respond or resolve issues.
A small minority of reviewers appear satisfied with their purchases, but they are vastly outnumbered by complaints about operational failures. Beyond service issues, one reviewer noted frustration with the lack of repair options for damaged products, raising environmental concerns. The pattern of complaints suggests systemic problems with order fulfillment, inventory management, and post-purchase customer support rather than isolated incidents.

Sorted by: Most recentMy order arrived with items missing and the bag was damaged with just tape holding it together. Customer service is inadequate with email being the only contact method, but these kinds of problems need phone support to get solved quickly. Response time is really slow, taking up to five business days especially when there's a sale going on. They act like they don't care and it feels like my money's just gone, though hopefully somebody will actually respond and make it right. Otherwise I'll be sending a formal legal notice because I don't have other options.
This is my second time ordering from them and I have to say I'm frustrated. They charged my card but then notified me that what I ordered wasn't available. Three days have gone by and I'm still waiting for my money back. Their customer service is pretty bad and honestly, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
Getting customer service to respond is nearly impossible. Once they have your money, they seem totally uninterested. It's a real shame because I actually like the clothes they make, but I won't be shopping on their website anymore.
Returned £40 in merchandise but kept a few items for myself. They said the refund would happen within a week, then kept asking for tracking information. I used the number that came with my order and figured it was already connected to my purchase, so I didn't photograph it. Even though they clearly have everything they need, they keep finding reasons not to process the refund. The brand itself is solid, but dealing with them afterward has been really disappointing.
Warning about these jeans falling apart. The quality has gone downhill significantly. I've worn Ben Sherman jeans since my late teens, so that's more than two decades of buying from them. The clothes weren't cheap, but they used to be worth the money because they'd last for years. My recent pairs are only making it about a year before something gives. The zippers especially seem to fail. Normal everyday wearing and they just fall apart. On my last pair that quit after eleven months, I brought it up because this is clearly defective merchandise. I should be protected under consumer law and they should offer repair, replacement, or a refund. I would've been totally fine with just getting it fixed. But they refused, claiming since it didn't break immediately it wasn't actually faulty. That doesn't even make sense. They just didn't want to stand behind their stuff. I've been loyal for two decades but this is the end.
Returned a hoodie that I'd bought as a Christmas gift right at the cutoff date, so it would've arrived after their return window. They processed the refund in about seven days with no problems and didn't charge me to send it back. The delivery company they use, InPost, was quick and convenient. I've been a Ben Sherman customer for over forty years and I always come back.
Purchased a pair of jeans. The timeline was a bit longer than what they advertised, but it was right around the New Year period so totally understandable. Overall I was happy with the service and impressed with the product quality.
Got my jeans in the mail. The delivery took a bit longer than their estimated timeframe, though it came around the New Year so that made sense. Really satisfied with how the whole thing went and the quality of what I received.
Placed an order for a suit a couple days back and asked for expedited shipping with a specific carrier. They sent over a tracking number that didn't work at all, so I had no idea what was happening. When I didn't hear anything, I emailed customer service asking if it had arrived. They replied saying they'd tried delivering twice and were sending it back to their warehouse. They also said they'd only give me my money back once they got the package back. I asked how long that would take and got silence. They claim they tried delivering it twice but never actually knocked properly and didn't offer any other options like letting me pick it up from somewhere. I'm being asked to pay for something I never got. The service is unacceptable. I genuinely like their clothing but their website is a nightmare. I won't be ordering from them again.
