What Shoppers Say About Craneandcanopy
Crane and Canopy is rated 1.4 out of 5 by 19 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing significant dissatisfaction. Reviewers consistently report poor product quality, citing thin and flimsy materials, defective items arriving (holes, broken ties, bleached appearance), and construction failures even after light use. Customer service emerges as a major pain point, with shoppers describing unresponsive support staff who ignore emails, blame customers for defects, and fail to respond to multiple contact attempts. Several long-time customers note a decline in quality since the company changed ownership in 2020.
A small segment of reviewers report satisfaction with duvet covers and design aesthetics, but these positives are heavily outweighed by complaints about durability, wrinkles, and lack of customer support. Pricing is another complaint, with shoppers questioning whether the costs are justified given the cheap feel of materials and unresponsiveness to complaints. The combination of quality issues, poor customer service, and high price points has led reviewers to recommend alternatives.

Sorted by: Most recentFound out about this company through Good Housekeeping's Sleep awards and decided to try their Ultimate Down Alternative Comforter. I'm in Ohio and this thing has been so soft and cozy all winter and into spring too. The customer service team answered all my questions quickly and delivery was fast. Really happy with my purchase overall.
Purchased a comforter that turned out to be overpriced garbage. The polyester stuffing inside came out, which is a legitimate safety hazard. This stuff can seriously hurt your lungs and cause real health problems. You can't even leave reviews on their website, which says everything you need to know about this scam operation.
Their ads say free shipping and returns, but that's misleading. I sent back something because the color wasn't working for me and got charged $30 for it. That's not free returns like they claim. I'm definitely not ordering again. I also had a couple pillow shams from years back and they've faded terribly - not worth the price they're charging at all. The whole shipping and return situation feels like false advertising to me.
Would give zero stars if I could. Will never buy from this company again because they clearly don't care about customers. Spent over $750 on a duvet and sheets. Washed the sheets before first use and they came out looking like rags. They refused my return saying they couldn't refund used items, but I never even put them on my bed because they looked so bad. Even the duvet I had professionally cleaned still looks awful and wrinkled. Total waste of money and I'm kicking myself for not reading reviews first.
They don't call you back. I bought bedding and my daughter ordered some too, but hers started pilling right away. We tried emails, phone calls, texts - nothing. She ended up throwing her bedding away. Definitely stay away from this place.
Worst customer service and return policy ever. I'll never buy from them again after spending so much money. Ordered Euro king shams for my new place, and didn't realize until I unpacked them at home that they were too large. I immediately ordered the right size which arrived quickly, but getting them to process a return or offer any consideration because of my move was impossible. Emailed twice with no response.
Picked up some white Scalloped edge sheets and the shipping alone was $30, which felt steep. The fabric quality was rough like sandpaper and didn't wash well at all. They came out super wrinkled, and even trying to iron them didn't fix it much. Their return policy is awful too. They won't take back anything that's been washed, and if you want to return something unopened, they'll hit you with a 70% restocking fee. Just bad experiences across the board.
Bought a king duvet with matching pillow shams and was really drawn to the zippered design and the beautiful Blue Lagoon color. After just a month of regular use, the quality started falling apart fast. The fabric began pilling in multiple spots, and I could see worn patches scattered all over with visible thread damage and fraying. For over $340, you'd think this would hold up better. Getting help from customer service was a nightmare too - I had to contact them four times before anyone actually helped me. I emailed pictures of the damage, but their response was pretty frustrating. They wouldn't refund me since I'd used it, and wanted $35 just to send a replacement. That's not how you treat customers or stand behind your products. I won't be ordering from them again.
Bought grey bath towels and after my husband and I each used one, they turned orange in the middle. Wrote to the company and they insisted I must have used bleach, even though we only use natural soap and products. The logic makes no sense - if I actually used bleach, the edges would be affected, not just the middle. Arguing with them was like talking to a wall. Fought for a month trying to get an exchange for white towels from the eight I bought. They refused to send replacements unless I bought two more at $36 each. When I declined, they wouldn't work with me at all. Then they stopped answering emails entirely. Couldn't even find a phone number to call. I ended up donating everything to an animal shelter. Horrible company. Stay far away.
