The charger and battery showed up quickly but the car never did. When I checked my order later, they'd cancelled the car with zero notification to me. Turns out it was discontinued. They shipped me stuff for a car they no longer sell and didn't even tell me. When I reached out, I got a half-hearted apology and a broken link to a pricier replacement model. Never heard back after that. Really shady. Ever since Horizon bought them out, I've had mostly bad experiences, so I'm done with both companies.
Their customer service is basically nonexistent. I've had cases sitting unanswered and emails ignored. Using their chat just opens another ticket that goes nowhere. Felt completely abandoned.
This outfit is totally unprofessional. I did a straightforward return with an approved RMA number and verified tracking info but they wouldn't issue my refund. I had to open a dispute with PayPal to get my money back. There's no phone number where you can talk to an actual person, just email only. Stay away. Terrible place to do business.
Watch out with this place. I got a S2200 charger on sale for $239.99 plus some other stuff we needed. Fed X took forever to even pick it up and then you can't track anything. Had to call multiple times to confirm the shipment actually went out. Finally someone called back saying the charger was coming from California while the other parts were coming from Illinois. The updates have been a mess with no consistency. First they said they'd update when it moved, then said Wednesday, and today we're supposed to get it between certain times but nothing's been reliable. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be their regular way of doing business.
Great order experience again! Got my Spektrum NX8 and upgraded battery pack. Ordered April 1st and it landed at my door April 4th in perfect condition. That's what I call a complete success! Thanks Tower Hobbies, you've definitely earned my future business!
Paid through PayPal and they're refusing to send what I ordered even after I sent them proof of payment. The State Attorney's office has over 2,000 fraud complaints against this company. They're going to be really sorry when this goes to court.
Had a really bad experience with their support team. Lots of items are constantly out of stock, and I had something pre-ordered for half a year. When it finally dropped, they never processed my order even though I kept getting emails saying it was back in stock. Their support reps promised they'd ship it out, said the warehouse was handling it, but then just told me to cancel and order again because it went back on pre-order. Very frustrating.
Stopped ordering from here as an international customer. Used to shop with them when the currency worked in my favor, but now they won't ship outside the US. Really disappointing since finding what I needed used to be so straightforward.
