I really hope they'll update their system to match what most international sites do and let people opt out without logging in, especially since they serve customers worldwide. Most global websites put an unsubscribe link right at the bottom of every email for easy access. If you're trying to attract international customers, using old-fashioned Japanese site practices probably isn't helping your business. Anyway, if you need to unsubscribe now, log into your account and check your settings. Look for the Newsletter option near the bottom and select Unsubscribed. Hope that helps.
Haven't run into the issues other people mention. Things have gone smoothly so far. No surprise customs charges and costs are actually lower than similar sites. My items came nicely packaged. Took roughly a month to get here. I recently moved and my postal code is pretty new in the system. DOKODEMO got it right. That's better than what happened with another platform that kept struggling to match addresses properly in their app. I switched to DOKODEMO because I was tired of constantly emailing that other company to fix my address before every single purchase and paying extra shipping fees. My shipment reached France in about 18 days in good condition. Let me share what went well and what didn't. What I liked: 1. Rapid delivery. Getting something from Japan to France during the holiday sales rush in 18 days is solid. Desktop tracking works fine. 2. Great packaging care. They really put effort into protecting items. 3. Automatic refunds. When currency conversion problems forced me to cancel my order twice, the refunds came through quickly and without hassle. 4. Incredibly affordable pricing. 5. Individual item shipping charges help you stay under your country's customs threshold if you're trying to avoid extra fees. The problems: 1. Terrible mobile experience. The app and mobile site are constantly glitchy. Mobile users can't access tracking info (possibly a technical thing). 2. Missing live chat. 3. You're responsible for customs expenses yourself.
Be really careful buying multiple items here because the customs costs you'll end up paying are crazy. Plus items come from different sellers so you might get charged customs multiple times (happened to me twice). For Asian skincare products, check out Yes Style instead. Yeah, DOKODEMO shows cheaper prices up front, but with YS what you see at checkout is the final price, and they'll refund any customs charges. Obviously if you can only find what you need at DOKODEMO at least you know the products are genuine. But when you add up delivery at £26 and £40 in customs for a few face creams and sunscreen? Not worth it at all. Oh and their emails are super annoying too.
The website is really easy to use, shipping to Germany was surprisingly quick, and their customer help was solid. I honestly can't find anything to gripe about and would absolutely recommend this to others.
Seriously watch out! There's literally nowhere to stop their endless flood of messages. Once they have your info, you're stuck! Get ready, trust me. I've sent complaints, written them, begged them, even deleted my account, and the emails never stop coming. There's no phone number or customer support email you can find anywhere. If you buy here and run into trouble? You're on your own. Be prepared to get absolutely bombarded with so many messages it'll blow your mind. And here's the thing: there's absolutely no unsubscribe link anywhere. I've looked everywhere. I'm about to lose it.
The products themselves are nice but they don't seem to understand import and export rules for countries outside Japan. Make absolutely sure whatever you're buying won't get you in legal trouble or hit with massive import taxes when it arrives.
