What Shoppers Say About Earth Shoes
Earth Shoes receives consistently poor ratings, with shoppers citing severe customer service failures as the primary complaint. Reviewers report being unable to reach support staff, experiencing long wait times for responses, and having return requests ignored. Processing delays, unresponsive email and phone support, and difficulty obtaining refunds are mentioned repeatedly across reviews. The company's advertised customer service standards and warranty coverage do not appear to match actual customer experiences.
While some reviewers acknowledge that the shoes themselves have positive qualities, with mentions of good design, nice colors, and solid construction, these product attributes are completely overshadowed by systemic problems with customer support, sizing accuracy, sizing consistency, and product durability. Several shoppers report sizing running larger than expected, and at least one customer experienced premature material failure within three months of light wear. The disconnect between customer service promises and actual delivery has left shoppers unwilling to do business with the company despite product satisfaction.

Sorted by: Most recentTheir advertised shipping times don't match reality. The website fails to mention that orders take 1-3 days just to process. Getting in touch with customer support about when your order actually ships is basically impossible. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
Really wanted these shoes and spent money I'd saved up for them. I wear a size 6 across all my footwear, but their size 6 ran huge on me. I've tried calling repeatedly for help with a return and only get an automated system. They claim email support responds in 48 hours, but mine never got answered. I think they're avoiding me because they know I'm unhappy about the purchase. There's zero customer service available. I won't be buying from this company ever again. Looks like I'm eating the cost on this one. Absolutely terrible.
Purchased a pair of earth origin shoes from a local retailer. Just three months in with light wear, the leather on one side panel started cracking and falling apart, while everything else looked perfect. This was clearly a manufacturing problem. The company advertises a 12 month warranty, but when I reached out, they said that particular style wasn't covered under warranty and I'd already passed any coverage window. Still waiting for more information from them.
WORST customer service I've experienced. The shoes themselves were fantastic - great designs, nice colors, solid construction. I bought three pairs actually. I'd definitely order again in the correct sizes, but honestly I'm never dealing with this company again.
This whole situation turned into a long drawn out mess. I ordered boots from their site initially. When they arrived, they were way bigger than expected and the style wasn't what I wanted, so I sent them back. My payment went through Shop Pay using my credit card, so I requested the refund go back to that card. I've done this exact thing with other retailers before without any issues. Earth Shoes refused - they'd only issue a gift card. I tried calling to discuss it but after waiting on hold for around an hour I gave up and sent an email instead. A week went by with no response. At that point I figured I was out of luck, so I placed another order for the same boots in a smaller size. Then boom, I got an email almost immediately saying that since I used a gift card to purchase (which I hadn't done yet!), I could only exchange it. I was really upset about this. My original payment was with Shop Pay through my credit card! I wrote back and they responded with a sorry, that's just our policy kind of response. When the smaller pair showed up, they were still way too big, so I initiated a return and sent them back.
Purchased as a gift but the shoe size ran significantly larger than standard sizing. When we attempted to return it, customer service provided zero assistance and ignored our return requests even after reaching out multiple times.
Got a pair of their ballet flats, specifically the lug sole square toe style in black. These are honestly the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever put on my feet.
The original earth shoes were my go-to, then the company got bought by someone else in 2021. The Berri has been totally redesigned. It used to be a solid, comfortable, good looking shoe - now it's basically a gag shoe. The quality materials got swapped out for cheap synthetics. It fits too big and too wide, and the straps are wider too. What used to be an attractive shoe is now ruined. Really disappointing because these used to be my absolute favorite shoes. I'm not buying from this version of earth again.
Would give zero stars if I could. They sent me promotional emails about items in my cart with a special discount offer. When I tried to use the code, it wouldn't work. I contacted their customer service team and was told the code was invalid. When I asked how to get the sale price they advertised, they told me the promotion had already ended. The whole experience was terrible - misleading marketing, codes that don't function, basically no customer support. This company's business practices are awful.
I've been a regular earth shoes customer for many years. Something's definitely changed at this company. The overall quality has taken a real nosedive. The straps have gotten thicker, the sizing runs big now, and the leather quality isn't nearly as good. The Berri sandals especially are enormous with these thick straps - they honestly look ridiculous. I just got the Birdy sandals hoping for better but got the same problems - too big, chunky straps, cheap leather. That's it for me. I'm really let down because these were the only comfortable shoes I could wear with my foot neuropathy.
