What Shoppers Say About Easy to Grow Bulbs
Easy to Grow Bulbs receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with the vast majority reporting serious issues with product quality and germination. Customers report that bulbs fail to bloom or grow despite following instructions carefully, orders arriving incomplete or not at all, and extremely frustrating customer service experiences. Refund requests are often denied based on timing windows, and multiple shoppers describe lengthy waits for responses or replacements. A small number of satisfied customers praise the company's product quality and responsive service, but their positive experiences represent a distinct minority.
The most common complaint centers on non-germinating bulbs and seeds that fail to produce plants even when care instructions are followed precisely. Shoppers also report significant fulfillment problems, including incomplete orders where fewer items arrive than were paid for. Customer service complaints are consistent across reviews, with long response times and inflexible refund policies frustrating customers who have lost substantial money on non-performing products.

Sorted by: Most recentI regret not looking up reviews before ordering. My order was straightforward: twenty gladiolus bulbs split between two varieties, ten Arcadia and ten Union Jack, to go with some tea roses I have growing. Of the ten Arcadia bulbs, only six have come up and none have flowered yet. With the Union Jack, just one popped up out of ten and it doesn't look like it'll produce flowers at all. One of those Union Jack corms was tiny, barely the size of a dime. The whole delivery took much longer than I expected. I ordered April 16th and didn't get my bulbs until June even though no ship date was listed on my invoice. That meant I had to plant them later than I wanted, after Father's Day instead of early May. I'm not asking for my money back or replacement bulbs. This is just a lesson for me not to use this company again, and hopefully it helps other folks understand what they might get. Looking back, I should've just gone to Lowe's or Home Depot where I could check the quality before buying. It was pretty clear nobody there examined the bulbs carefully, especially those Union Jack ones.
This has to be one of the worst shopping sites I've ever used. I paid $89 for an order and never received the Hosta plants. No way to get customer support on their website either.
Worst experience I've had ordering plants online. I will never use this company again. There are plenty of other retailers out there who know how to get orders out the door properly and on time. I placed my order on October 11th in the early season and got charged right away. From that moment, the 30-day clock should have started ticking for them to ship. But they didn't ship until 42 days after charging my card. I had made it clear from the start that I needed the bulbs by Thanksgiving so they'd flower by Christmas. I reached out to them multiple times. Getting someone on the phone was nearly impossible, and when I did connect with them, they wouldn't give me straight answers about when my package would go out. I even told them that if it wasn't shipped by a certain date I'd cancel, and they just blew me off completely. My bulbs showed up way too late for any Christmas blooms, and they only started putting out buds almost a month after Christmas. One of the bulbs I planted, labeled as Amaryllis Elvas, turned out to be the wrong variety entirely! Instead of the red and white striped version I paid for, I got a solid red one. I'm pretty confident they messed up the rest of my order too, especially since I ordered eight bulbs total.
Ten days have passed since I placed my order for three plants and I haven't gotten any shipping information unless I contact them myself. They keep telling me it's still being processed at their warehouse. Seriously? The customer service is awful. I left a message at their phone line but haven't heard back from anyone.
Tried ordering from them in two consecutive years and both times the bulbs were no good and didn't produce anything. The first year they gave me back my money, but I didn't even bother trying to get a refund the second time around. Just shop somewhere else.
Ordered three orange giraffe dahlias and one of the tubers arrived broken. They did refund my money, but they kept the $12 shipping fee. I planted the other two tubers and when they finally bloomed, they weren't orange giraffes at all. Instead they produced a pink dahlia variety that wasn't even on the site when I ordered.
