Sorted by: Most recentHad my car insured with them and paid upfront for the whole year. Full no claims bonus and I'm now selling the vehicle without getting another one. There's still 2 months left on the policy so I reached out to ask about getting the unused portion refunded. Turns out there's a £58 cancellation charge that's more than my refund would be, so I actually end up owing them money. They say it's all spelled out in the terms and conditions. Sure, buried somewhere in tiny print at the bottom, but if you have to hide stuff in the fine print to look fair to your customers then you're not the kind of company I want anything to do with. Guess it's time to say goodbye and I'm not even going to bother cancelling the policy. Why would I pay them to end this relationship?
I won't ever use this company for insurance again. They've given me nothing but runaround since yesterday. Still no replacement car on their end. They use a rental company but I can't get a car from them since the other driver had a stolen vehicle. That's not my responsibility but after the engineer spent over 16 hours checking the damage, one claims person said to call back and they'd set me up with a car. Yeah right. Another agent told me they haven't even gone through the photos yet. So yet again I'm losing another work day without a car. THIS COMPANY DOESN'T DESERVE EVEN HALF A STAR. The amount of going in circles has made me genuinely furious. Their whole system needs a complete overhaul in multiple ways. Stay far away from them.
Sure, the cheapest option sounds great until you realize you get exactly what you pay for. This company took 791 days to resolve my car accident claim and was basically impossible to contact. The other driver's insurance company couldn't even get ahold of them. Eventually I got hit with a county court case. That's when things got really bad. I'd call the claims line and spend hours on hold with nobody picking up. I sent emails and letters via recorded delivery and got nothing back. I had to handle the court case myself with zero help from them. Check out what Which? found in their insurance provider survey: this company got a 53% score on claims, ranked 19th out of 19. Go ahead and buy their coverage if you want but after that you're completely on your own.
Five days in and Ensure still can't get my vehicle to the shop. They only told their outsourced partner to deliver it to the garage address five days after picking it up. I'm still waiting for a replacement car. I've filed a complaint. Then someone called me from a number flagged as possible fraud on my phone. They claimed to be from Ensure but asked for my name and address. I told them no, you called me, so you give me my details and I'll confirm them. They refused and said they'd only talk to me if I gave my information. That makes no sense. The person doing the calling should already have those details. This needs to be reported. I'd advise staying away.
Hands down the worst customer service experience I've had. I keep phoning them about fixing a billing mistake and arranging my refund. They promise they'll take care of it, but nothing ever changes. Absolutely terrible service.
I'm so glad this nightmare is finally finished. This company is absolutely terrible. If you think of the worst company you can imagine and multiply that by 10, you still won't come close to how bad they are. Their customer service is a complete mess, getting your no claims bonus sorted is nearly impossible and heaven help you if you need to change vehicles. I paid £36 to switch vehicles partway through the year, which took 2 days of back and forth on their chat system, only to find out today after getting pulled over by police that they never actually did it. I tried to get it sorted today and was told I'd have to pay another £88 which obviously isn't happening. I asked if cancelling the policy, which had only 1 month remaining, would let me keep my no claims bonus and was assured it would. Cancelled it and got zero no claims bonus. I challenged the person who helped me, and they said they misunderstood what they told me. Now I have no insurance, no bonus, a ticket from police and a big apology to make. Total disaster of a company.
The worst customer service and policy handling I've experienced. Never again with this outfit. I don't even know how they're still in business.
Terrible customer service. Called them to move up my policy start date and they flat out refused because the policy doesn't begin until 07/07. I asked if I could cancel since I'm still within the cooling off window and they said absolutely not. Completely unacceptable. I'm definitely cancelling. Tried asking to speak with a manager multiple times and kept getting rejected.
This is the worst car insurance provider I've dealt with by far. Their customer service team is absolutely shocking. DO NOT GET A POLICY WITH THEM.
Attempted to purchase car insurance through a comparison website and it turned into a nightmare. The company is in the middle of some change and after I got through the lengthy application, submitted my payment, and got a confirmation text on my phone, the website showed an error message telling me to go back to the comparison site. I did what it said, but then the quote went up by £100. Are these people serious? Just stay away from them. The only way to reach them is email, no actual phone line available.
