What Shoppers Say About Funjet
Funjet is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 17 shoppers, with the overwhelming majority reporting serious problems. Recurring complaints center on deceptive pricing practices (charges significantly higher than booking directly with hotels or airlines), inflexible refund policies even in cases of medical emergencies or travel warnings, poor customer service, and difficulty resolving account issues. Shoppers report being denied refunds or credits despite providing medical documentation, having reservations altered without consent, and arriving on time only to be told their seats were sold.
Very few shoppers report positive experiences with Funjet. The company appears to prioritize revenue collection over customer accommodation, with reviewers describing practices they characterize as deceptive or scam-like. Multiple reviewers state they would give zero stars if the rating system allowed it, and several indicate they were required to use Funjet rather than choosing it voluntarily.

Sorted by: Most recentWhatever you do, stay away from booking with them! I cancelled my Jamaica getaway and they tried to pocket my money. When I called to follow up, they refused to speak with me directly and insisted on only talking to my travel agent, who wasn't great either. I had to file a complaint with the BBB before they would actually discuss it with me and release my flight credit. There's still a chunk of money unaccounted for that they're refusing to explain in detail. Save yourself the headache and aggravation by choosing literally anyone else. These people need serious oversight. I'd give them negative stars if that was possible.
I booked an all-inclusive adults-only resort stay from December 8 to December 11, 2022. When we arrived, they informed us they had overbooked and moved us to a family resort run by the same company for 2 nights, then we stayed at the adults-only resort for our final night. I paid over $3000 for this getaway and didn't receive what I paid for. I have nothing against families, but my husband is a teacher and deserved a peaceful adults-only vacation.
I made a booking for a trip that cost over $3000 through a travel agent and had to cancel because of the pandemic. They gave me travel credits, but here's the thing: nobody bothered to explain that these credits would expire. Why do credits even expire when it's your own unused money? By the time I wanted to rebook just one month later, the credits were gone. I reached out to them asking for help dealing with this situation, and basically they just said to talk to the agent and that it wasn't their problem. They showed zero flexibility and didn't care at all. I'm looking into filing a dispute with my credit card company because this experience was unacceptable.
They're keeping money from an airline refund that should be in my account. I've had my travel agent reach out multiple times, and I've called myself, but my refund still hasn't arrived. At this point, I'm ready to take legal action.
I really should have looked at reviews before booking through them. I had a Florida reservation for January 2021 but had to cancel due to the pandemic. Just cancelling was painful. I had purchased travel protection because I knew cancellation was a possibility. A representative told me I had bought the wrong coverage type, so no refund, but I could get travel credit instead. I actually know I purchased the right protection, but they made me feel like I hadn't. Regardless, I accepted the credit. They said I could use it for rebooking with a deadline of the end of the year. That turned out to be wrong. When I tried to rebook, the credits weren't there anymore, and a new message said the deadline was December 1st. Calling customer service is completely pointless. They tell you they can't help, and when you ask for a supervisor, they literally say one might not even come on the line to talk to you. It's unbelievable. Please think twice before giving them your money.
I had plans to travel in August 2021 and this turned out to be my first and only experience with them. My trip coincided with some airline disruptions. My flight got cancelled just 10 hours before I was supposed to leave, and the airline gave me a full refund right away. However, I haven't heard anything from them about the resort portion of my booking. I did purchase trip insurance, but because the system shows I was a no-show rather than a cancellation, my insurance company won't pay out. Plus, they're saying they won't refund either because they claim it was a no-show situation. I've sent multiple letters to them, and my travel agent has done the same, but we haven't gotten anywhere.
