What Shoppers Say About Gapfactory
Gapfactory shoppers are sharply divided in their experiences. Satisfied customers praise the store's competitive pricing, solid quality across clothing items like jeans and sweaters, and straightforward return policies. These reviewers also highlight responsive customer service, noting that representatives have resolved delivery issues professionally and made frustrating situations right. However, a significant portion of shoppers report serious problems with fraud flagging that results in order cancellations, account issues that go unexplained, and difficulties with claims for missing items. Frustrated customers describe a support process that relies on third-party dispute resolution without clear resolution, and they express concern about sharing personal information through what they perceive as an unresponsive system.
The store's 2.9 rating out of 5 from 14 shoppers reflects this polarization: roughly equal numbers of five-star and one-star reviews suggest Gapfactory delivers good value and quality for some customers, but fails significantly for others, particularly around fraud detection accuracy and claims handling. Potential shoppers should be aware that while the store offers competitive prices and solid merchandise quality, order processing and customer service inconsistencies appear to be ongoing concerns.

Sorted by: Most recentI'm really happy with my experience at Gap Factory. Recently I had a delivery issue that needed sorting out. I was frustrated at first, but when I called customer service and talked to their representative, he was incredibly professional and helpful. He took care of everything right away and I felt heard and respected. Really turned my experience around.
This is one of my go-to stores and I order pretty regularly. I shop for myself as a smaller-sized woman and also for my teenage son. The prices are always competitive and the quality of items is really solid.
Hands down one of my favorite shopping destinations. There's always something interesting and fresh to discover when I browse.
Placed an order and got the confirmation email right away, but then another email came through saying they flagged it as potential fraud and cancelled it. Called them up and the rep said there was some kind of account issue, though they didn't explain why. They said they could reorder it for me but the team who handles that doesn't work weekends, so I'd need to call back. On top of that, they claimed it would take several days to get my refund even though Gap cancelled the order themselves. I'm guessing maybe the VPN I was using triggered it, but honestly the whole thing was unnecessarily complicated and frustrating.
Amazing value and returns are super simple. Shopping here is now my preference because they offer free returns, which makes the whole experience so much better. The quality is solid and all the jeans, shirts, and sweaters I grabbed over fall are still looking good and fashionable. Really happy with everything.
Can someone actually help me understand why my claim for a missing item was rejected? Why do they force you to go through a third party when nothing gets resolved? Gap Factory won't be getting any more of my business. It feels like they're taking advantage of customers and then sending them off to some other company with your personal info. I've been loyal for years, and my whole family relies on their products. This is really sad to see end, but I won't put up with being treated this way anymore.
This was a really bad experience. I've been buying Gap jeans for years since finding tall sizes is so difficult, but waiting over a month for an order only to have it never show up made me decide to switch brands. I put in another order with their team who promised it would come before the holidays, and it still hasn't left the warehouse even as late December rolled around. Plus several items from my first order are now sold out. It's clear there are serious problems with how they handle orders and shipping, and this kind of thing is definitely going to make them lose customers.
Ordered some jeans but the fit was off, so I sent them back and tried a different size. Here's the thing though - it takes 15 business days to get your refund. Not regular days, which would already be crazy, but business days. That's like three and a half weeks. Why should I be stuck covering my credit card interest while I wait that long to get my money back?
I've only placed two orders in my entire time as a customer, and both got cancelled without any warning or explanation. It's incredibly disappointing and honestly ridiculous service.
