Ikon set up pop-ups at resorts offering $200 off passes recently with basically no notice. We renewed a few days before and tried to get the discount in person, but they turned us down even though friends got refunded after renewing. Called Ikon and got told it was for new customers only, which isn't what our friends experienced or what our son was able to do. When I said we already tried the pop-up, they said go to the pop-up. It's circular nonsense and their policies keep changing depending on who you talk to. This is how you frustrate your customer base.
The customer service here is pretty bad. I never even used my pass and couldn't get it refunded or moved to next year. Can't recommend it.
Don't get this pass. I've had one yearly and loved the mountain, but the 25/26 season is different. The mountain's been sketchy to ski and conditions are rough. I called about moving my pass to next year since it's been a bust, but they said no transfers, no refunds. The rep just read from a script like a robot. They won't help their loyal customers and they're probably losing money with bad snow too. Clearly profits matter more than people.
Their refund policy is terrible and way too strict. I need major surgery and asked to defer or get my money back, but they said no because I didn't buy their pricey add-on insurance that costs 7.5% extra. My other ski pass through Epic just refunded me completely for the same situation. I'm done with this company and their resorts.
The resort perks and friend/family deals used to be real benefits but now they're basically useless. Too many rules attached and tons of places won't honor the discounts at all. Started out great with Mammoth and then switched to this, but those days are gone. Not renewing.
Had passes since the beginning and thought they were decent value, even when I didn't use them much. This year I needed knee surgery before activating mine and asked about rolling it over to next season. They basically said tough luck, should've bought insurance. Of course they could help if they actually cared, but apparently greed wins. No more business from me.
We've been loyal for five years and this season our son injured his thumb and can't ski. We asked about deferring and got turned down flat. That's $3,000 we lost. No one cares, no one listens, and there's nowhere to escalate complaints. Once they have your cash, you're stuck. Really let down and won't go back.
My husband and I got passes for this season. He suffered an Achilles injury that kept him from using it at all, and he never even activated it. I reached out asking about a refund or deferral, but Ikon said no refunds after mid-December unless you paid extra for their insurance, and they wouldn't do anything else either. The pass was completely unused and he couldn't ski due to a real medical emergency, but they wouldn't budge. For what we paid, I think they should at least defer it or give some kind of credit.
