Jenny Craig Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Jenny Craig
Jenny Craig receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from the vast majority of shoppers. The most frequent complaints center on misleading advertising about weight loss results, confusing subscription terms and auto-ship policies, difficulty canceling memberships, and poor handling of frozen meal shipments that arrive spoiled due to inadequate ground delivery methods. Customers report frustration with customer service representatives who fail to honor promises made during sign-up and refusal to issue refunds for damaged orders or unwanted charges. A small number of satisfied customers praise the meal quality and note that the company has provided excellent replacement service when third-party carriers damaged shipments, with particular appreciation from those using the Club option for maintenance rather than active weight loss.
The stark divide in ratings suggests that Jenny Craig works reasonably well for a limited segment of users but presents significant problems for most customers, particularly around billing practices, delivery logistics, and customer service responsiveness. Issues with misleading marketing claims and unclear contract terms appear across multiple reviews, indicating systematic problems rather than isolated incidents.

Sorted by: Most recentI felt their ads were misleading. They promised 17 pounds of weight loss in the first month when I signed up, and the contract had a subscription attached that was confusing and hard to understand. I canceled my membership after three months because I wasn't happy with the program, but Jenny Craig apparently didn't cancel the subscription part. I got charged $69.99 for it months later. When I called to complain, a representative told me the charge was non-refundable and that they never got a cancellation request from Jenny Craig's system. I know I'm not alone in this happening to me. I will never work with this company again.
I was once a loyal Jenny Craig customer, but my recent experience has left me incredibly frustrated and let down by both their service and support team. When I set up my AutoShip subscription, I specifically asked if I should adjust my delivery date since I was concerned about running out of meals during the transition. The representative promised me this wouldn't be a problem and assured me my food would arrive on time. That promise fell apart. My meals completely ran out this morning while my new order is still being processed. This created a real gap in my service, despite what I was told at sign-up. I've called customer service multiple times trying to get help from someone who would actually listen and do something about it. Instead, all I heard were repeated explanations about their no refund policy, with zero acknowledgment of my situation or the promise made to me. I understand companies have policies, but
I've been with Jenny Craig for about 10 months now using the Club option. Since I only need their meals for maintenance a couple days each week, it works perfectly for me. I haven't had any issues with the company or my orders so far. When FedEx mishandled one of my shipments, Jenny Craig sent out a replacement the very next day at no extra cost to me. Everything has gone smoothly and I'm satisfied enough to stick with them.
This company is terrible. They shipped my frozen meals using ground delivery, and when the box showed up a week later, everything was spoiled. After lots of back and forth, they still wouldn't give me a full refund. Very disappointed with how they handled this. Since they didn't want to make it right, I have no confidence they won't repeat this mistake, so I ended my membership. Jenny Craig didn't even acknowledge that shipping frozen food by ground was a bad idea in the first place.
Stay away from Club Jenny. The moment you sign up, they charge your card $69.99 for a membership and won't give the money back. The website makes things seem different than they actually are, and once they've got your payment, the staff stops caring about your concerns.
I had a really bad experience with how they handle orders. The terms weren't explained clearly enough, and when I reached out to their customer service, they weren't willing to help. I placed an order and didn't find out my delivery window until afterward. Since it was going to arrive when I'd be traveling, I called them right away to cancel, but they refused to do anything about it even though I caught it immediately and it wouldn't have hurt their operations at all. It feels intentionally misleading and like they're trying to trap people into spending money they don't want to spend.
Jenny Craig's customer service has gone downhill completely. I spent years working with a local consultant and had fantastic results losing weight. When the company filed for bankruptcy and got purchased by Wellful, everything changed for the worse. I decided to order some Biscotti from their Amazon store recently since they used to be my go-to snack. The items never shipped and I couldn't get through to anyone at Jenny Craig. After being transferred around and put on hold forever, I even got disconnected. Amazon was the one who actually stepped in and tried to contact Jenny Craig on my behalf. Jenny Craig never apologized or even bothered responding to me or Amazon, though they finally shipped the items after several days. Amazon had offered me a refund, but when they eventually arrived weeks later, I didn't need it anymore. I want to be clear that Amazon handled this wonderfully and tried to help, but Jenny Craig showed they don't care, and I won't be ordering from them again. This never would have happened with the old company before the ownership change.
I had been with Jenny Craig for many years, so when I heard they were taken over by a new company and switched to online-only, I decided to give it a shot. Once I started the ordering process, I realized it was clunky and unintuitive, so I wanted to stop after just my second order. I spent half an hour searching their site trying to figure out how to cancel, but there was nothing. The FAQ section didn't explain how to cancel either. I had to call their support line, and the representative told me calling was the only way they'd let you cancel. When I asked why they didn't explain that on the website, the response was weak about family members potentially canceling for someone, so they need to hear from the customer personally. That doesn't make sense. Find a different company if you're looking for weight loss support because these people don't show customers the respect that the original Jenny Craig owners did.
I should have gotten my food within 14 days. It's been 19 days and nothing yet. Days ago I contacted them about changing my shipment date since I was going to be out of town, but they refused. They said it was already in process. Now they're saying they just today created a shipping label, and FedEx hasn't even received it yet. By the time it arrives, I'll be gone for a week and it'll sit on my doorstep. They could have fixed this easily if they'd been willing to help. This company has zero customer service, and I wouldn't tell anyone else to use Jenny Craig.
Jenny Craig is a complete rip-off. Don't waste your money on their food. I signed up for their 30-day plan at $509 and by day 14 I knew it wasn't for me. The food made me feel sick and tasted awful. I called customer service and asked them to refund the second half of my plan since it hadn't shipped yet, requesting $275 back. They flat out told me they don't do refunds. What a scam. To make matters worse, I never even received the second shipment but was still charged for it. Do yourself a favor and don't buy from Jenny Craig.
