If you want quality, go with Peter Millar instead. Johnnie-O doesn't compare - their stuff is made cheap. They didn't even want the damaged pants back so they could look into what went wrong with the quality.
Johnnie O's biggest problem is their customer service department. The reps there clearly lack proper training. I called twice today about a pair of their pants I already own and really like - I have multiple pairs from them. When I asked the two women who answered which style I had, they seemed totally clueless and weren't actually listening to anything I was saying. They kept trying to pass me off to someone else right away. Look, I spend good money on clothing and I deserve proper support from the people representing the brand. Instead I wasted my time and felt like I was calling a cab company. Nobody knew what was going on. Super frustrating.
The policies here are loaded with the word 'usually,' which basically lets them off the hook from actually following through on what they promise. I ordered something at the end of December and by mid-January still hadn't gotten a shipping notification. After asking three separate times for my money back, they kept telling me a few days later that it was coming soon and I could just return it if needed.
